He had the fastest lap but some how one rider closed down a close to 16 seconds gap at one point to 8 seconds at the finnish comming through traffic.

Yes, Webb won, but a prime Sexton trumps a prime Webb in speed. Sexton is not at his 100% now.

LoL right. Coop was managing that one second lead

He sure was, and he "managed" to win the race by riding smart. Lap times get thrown out the window in that situation. Racecraft is Coop's specialty.

He managed to win the race by going as fast as he possibly could

Sexton was faster on the Honda.  Hopefully he gets the KTM sorted.

It isn’t a far stretch for him to be correct. Chase admitted to still searching and learning the bike. My guess is he is right about Sexton being faster on the Honda thus far.

Tomac was the fastest guy for multiple years but only has 2 championships to show for it.

Webb was rarely the fastest but was consistently fast and it earned him 2 championships.

Being faster on the Honda means nothing when you consider the time he had on it. He's had less than a year on the KTM, already looks markedly smoother and more consistent, and still feels like there is plenty of room for improvement with the bike.

Or do you really belive that Ken and Webb is at the same level of speed as Sexton?.

Last night webb had fastest quali and fastest lap so theres that.  He should have won this one,  but on that awful slot car track,  he did what he could. He should have moved on ken faster and he would have had time.  He moved up fast to ken and stalled out which is understandable.  I just thought he was moving around the track alot and that happens when a guy is comfortable with his setup.  We will see next week,  but i say a win and a podium or two by season end.  Steel frames are different,  but equally as deadly if uour used to it and its set up correctly.

That's how I feel. Everyone saying he was faster on the Honda. Sure and he tucked the front end every other race so was he faster because he's riding over his head? I genuinely don't know. Like I said above, I'm hoping as a Chase fan he finds that old speed but with a comfort level he's not crashing. We'll see.

Sitting behind Kenny reminded me of Dungey. Must be a steel frame thing.

Too funny. I've felt like this watching Chase multiple races this year. Not that his riding style is anything like Dunge. Just him riding behind a guy he's clearly faster for laps. It's one of the traits I love about Webb, Jett, and Ando. They overtake quickly. Especially Jason. It's a thing of beauty.  Even Eli can take too long to get around someone

Kinda interesting I felt like he actually improved a lot in that regard when he got with Aldon.

I agree there are positives with the change but to believe he is faster at the moment when he isn’t as comfortable as he would like to be “stated this weekend” and still making decent changes to it weekly seems foolish. A good example is Webb who hasn’t touched his bike since December. Is he faster than last year? These things are all hypothetical but he sure seems to be. Another fun way to look at it is qualifying fastest. Even if you were to take Jett out of the equation and compare this year to last it is obvious and then you can add in heat race wins and main wins.

it's not sorted for Chase just yet but they're very close, and being a building year, 2025 could be great.
