Pourcel's goon style

Anyone notice how Pourcel has a little goon rider style going on while he's pulling away from the rest of the field? Usually on the jumps. Strange looking, maybe DV taught him a thing or two! Wonder how long it will take before all the up and coming kids will adopt this style.

I always notice the gooned out goggle strap. I was actually gonna start a thread, solely about the strap position, but figured I'd get too much heat for it.

Wtf is up with the gogs Christophe? lol

I know this doesn't relate to the topic, but... Christophe got in a pretty good sneak attack on Mitch Saturday night after the race.

CP has style like KDub in my opinion. Neutral on the bike and sometimes has awkward goony moments.. It's not a bad thing tho.

His style is a mix of JMB at the elbos and shoulders, KW from the waist down, and early RV with his head down looking forward.

i noticed a few riders hitting that weird, it was so short for how fast they were going, same with the tiny double after the checkers.

Imo, Pourcel's style is reminiscent of David Bailey. He's that smooth.

He definitely had a goon looking style over the double before the finish. I was wondering the same thing every time I saw him jump it.

That bugs me too! Definitely looks like he should be on a clapped out '83 KX125 running goggles like that. But, man, the dude flies.

Baileys style was WAY ahead of its time. His style still looks cool today. You watch videos from the early 80's and its funny to see all the other guys and then Bailey.

I agree that Pourcel looks a lot Bailey on a bike.
