One of the Morgantown radio stations said Racer Productions is trying to bring this race to High Point. https://gatedrop.com/mxgp-ama-combined-race-still-on-the-horizon/

DC talked about it.

Would love to have 3-5ish races per year with points paying to both series. It would be incredible to see.
They could call it “Super Duper World Motocross Grand Prix Of The World Championship”
And the winners of each class can run rainbow numbers the following year.
does a track still have to hold a USGP in order to get a MXoN?
Steel City's 125 GP was a good race!
If they are going to go to all the trouble to make this happen, they should at least make it a two dayer.
So each class gets 2 races per day, 4 over the wk end with possibly a super final fastest 10 from each class end of Sunday.
Life’s too short to not make this happen.
Combs would bring it to a track they own so they can continue to pad there pockets
I mean 2 things
1 - this is a business. The idea is to make money
2 - out of the 2 promoters in question, DC is NOT the one to go after for “padding his pockets”
Just sayin..
I am shocked this race would not be happening at Glen Helen! Shocked I tell you.
Mr rainbows and sunshine who can find the negative side of what would be an epic race...wasn't aware that MX was supposed to be a non-profit sport...Who cares!
So how the the 20th place MXGP guy feel about not getting paid but the 20th place AMA guy is actually getting paid...
I don't personally know Combs but I follow him on social media, listen to a ton of podcast with this man and I couldn't disagree more with you comment. This guy is a HUGE student of the sport and is all about great racing (past and future). Yes, it is his track so why wouldn't it be awesome for him to hold a race of this magnitude? If he makes a few bucks at the end of the day well good for him! Not like the guy is sitting there just cashing check off what his parents did in the past, he still works hard for growing the sport. #CombsFan
Pssst. They don't actually own the track.
Monster Energy Super Duper World Motocross Grand Prix Of The World Championship is brought to you by Monster Energy, proud sponsor of Monster Energy Super Duper World Motocross Grand Prix Of The World Championship. That would be a line!
He's correct you know
Myself, wife and son are probably driving up from TN to High Point national this year, I hope this is an added bonus to our trip.

Think the future, not 2024.
As soon as 2025 a possibility?
David Luongo:
“In this vision both of us like the idea of creating a single and unique event, where the MXGP and AMA riders would participate together. It is not a secret and it is also true that it would probably be the most exciting and awaited Motocross event in the history of our sport. I don’t believe this event will happen this year or next one but it is definitely a project that both of us would love to create together.”
I've been hoping for this to happen for years. Paying points to their respective championships is the best way to get all the top guys on the same track.
