Any word if Paturel is ok? I hope he didn't get any burns 

Was the motor actually still running when it blew?

Why is his helmet off in the middle of the track on his bike?  There is a lot of first for me going on in that video. 

Patiently waiting for the first e-bike racing T-Bone ala Barcia vs. Jett.  Now THAT will be a first that goes viral.

It happend on the last lap off the moto and most riders already went by. He was also on the inside off the corner as the main line was on the outside as you saw one guy passing.

I think everybody would do the same after a hot 30 min moto on a rough sandtrack right? 
 

Hopefully he is OK and doesn’t have any burns on his body. 

He is fine. Spoke to him afterwards and all good. Thankful his gear protected him, especially on the legs

Talk about a banana in the tailpipe! 

Looked like it was his li-po battery that shorted and blew up. 

Edit: just watched it again, looks more like a radiator hose, if the lipo caught on fire, the whole bike would burn up.

You gotta love Jason Thomas describing the blow up as ''Not ideal''.
