I think you just need to share a little of whatever You are smoking with the rest of us. So we are all on the same level.
Any lag in Stark sales in the USA is likely because the used bike market is flooded with riders trying to off their gas bikes so they can buy a new Varg.
Well, you seem to follow this quite closely, that would be nice if you could share any info you might get on the bike. And let's see how it goes for the rest of the season!
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
The whole vid seems utterly biased to me and the title is incredibly dishonest. That's actually what makes it fun...
Now THAT'S one ugly bike/rider combo...
Too bad, the only thing I like about the Varg is it looks fluid, classy and sober.
His and Her varg's...
Remind me again, how long is the warranty on a KX450?
Stark has a 2 year warranty on the bike and in the info it even says that they may even offer repairs for free outside of the warranty period at their discretion .
Kawasaki's website either makes it hard to find or has no info for the KX's .
Everything can have issues, as long as the brand stands behind the bike and fixes those issues for you free, it takes the sting out. Now that there are Stark dealers all over, there is a great chance that the guy in the video could have had a dealer take care of the repairs. I think its cool that Stark will allow an end user to perform the repairs and still cover them. Instead of having the bike sit at a dealer.
And yet you can pick all the team out anywhere on the track, and the pit set up is on point with 9 riders across all the classes.

Just need to add OnlyFans.
I will be at all the races, and may do a couple of rounds myself, he is a good friend and has always gone for different bikes when he can, was one of the very few to run a Kawasaki.
I know he is keen to get it to work, but if it doesnt, he will sack it off and use it for MX , or just playing around.
He hauls the mail for an old guy, not been that long since he won a race in the main class.
All the Sunday race days are livestreamed.
TBH I'd never heard of him before but on commentary they didn't call him the godfather of British Supermoto for nothing... 30 years of racing!
Hey mate, remember what were you doing about 18 years ago ? Oh you know, the usual, just goofing around
Not to start any wars or anything but I saw maybe sleeter? Posted a pic of a varg charging from a jackery charging station.
https://www.jackery.com/pages/solar-generator?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQ…
they are pricey but have the option to solar charge as well. I’m not big one way or another as opposed to a gas generator but looks like a cool option.
Crazy that somebody may be offended by a post about a generator. I've seen a few other companies that make similar setups. One that offers high speed DC charging for electric vehicles. There are some combo units that also have a built in AC for using in a tent or van.
A customer of mine that has a Varg is keeping it secret until he rides it. Wants to stay away from all the crazy drama that can result. The world has become crazy. Its a bummer that people have to put down a new bike brand because they are afraid it might be good enough to change the sport dramatically.
Stark Varg racing mode released as Beta. Its purpose is to lock the Varg at 48 or 60 hp for 24, 48 or 72 h, in agreement with power levels agreed by British, French and Australian federations (official also have tools to download data from the bikes).
"Full pro racing mode" will come with premium subscription. I hate subscriptions with passion, no matter the vehicle, it's BS. The fact that this comes from the car world makes it even worse.
Good news on the racing front for Minnesota riders, the AMA is opening access for amateur racing in separate electric class.
There is also a new electric category in BXCC (British Cross Country), 45 min race, I guess so that Surrons and others can also race (1st round obviously won by a Varg rider).
Just saw this release on LinkedIn.
I applaud Stark for taking the initiative & continuing to find innovative ways to ensure the bike is on a level playing field for whatever class the riders chooses. It's clear they are extremely passionate about their product and technology and are doing whatever they need to in order to comply with the governing bodies ever-changing reasons why it can't compete. I'd argue this "lockout" feature is even more robust than ICE "stock" classes as there aren't really any ways to modify the software (unless you can hack the system or choose not to put it into the proper mode for the class)
I cringe at the AMA and other governing bodies that even though Stark has delivered an extremely clever solution, they're hidden agenda of keeping e-bikes away from ICE bikes is becoming more and more apparent. The AMA certainly has a conflict of interest with the traditional ICE OEMs and it's so disheartening to see them actively working to keep these bikes out of AMA competition, even at the amateur level.
It’s like you have these posters that are feverishly watching every post to quickly do some kind of instant press response for the Stark. Each post has a sort of panicky over-the-top retort. The bike is cool enough without the weirdness of these posters.
Pit Row
To be fair, electrics are slowly getting integrated in AMA amateur races/series, see US Sprint Enduro series, GNCC, and today's announcement of electric class in Minnesota for MX, flat track and hill climb.
It seems to me that the AMA's position is to open it, maybe on a case by case basis, and on the provision that electrics race in a separate class (though can still be ranked overall in USSE and GNCC for instance).
AMA Pro championships are most likely a very different story though.
Its funny that only new mini riders are skilled enough to allow for mixing ICE bikes with Electric. And the lack of sound is not an issue for the little kids .
Yah I know big bikes are going faster , but You have generally more experienced racers riding them in the classes that are not CC specific( VET classes) . To me it just seems openly biased to allow the KTM/Husky/gasgas electrics to mix in with ICE mini's and not let the Varg race in classes that do not have a set CC .
I am glad they let the KTM brands ebikes race , just sounds funny to say that a Vet rider is not able to know when a bike will be beside them ,but little kids will not have that problem somehow.
Think that is 2008, he has the #1 plate as defending champion. That pic is from Cadwell Park in november, being chased by David Jackson on the Alice Racing Aprilia SXV 450 , a ride that i took over for the following season.
Andy is on a 650 Husaberg which had full air suspension and weighed nothing, that bike still gets rolled out occasionally.
I wish we had the level of coverage back then that we do now, although we had a TV deal for 2 seasons, lack of social media back then was a pain.
Desperate and ridiculous.
The bike seems ab-so-lu-te-ly ready for three hours of beach racing in Le Touquet.
Indeed that's the final round, in November, but that's 2006, close enough. How many titles did he win? Here is the source for the picture, I think MCN managed to do a race report without mentioning the track once...

Cadwell Park is legendary for BSB
How was it racing the twin cylinders?
That's a tad harsh for the AMA but yeah, they're still insisting on a separate class for electrics
This is an interesting video because it's the first one (at least that I see) about a Stark in deep sand use. The rider is a French pro beach race specialist, he is absolutely impressed by the bike but it very quickly overheats in 50hp mode and, when he goes full 80hp (around the 17' mark), it cuts off almost immediately. When he tries to go again after letting it cool down a (tiny) bit, it keeps on cutting off. So this is both a positive review (at first) and a negative (after a few minutes).
Maybe the french beach racing championship could put together an electric category running 5 minutes motos?
You know who I'm talking about...
It sounds kinda cool while under a load in the deeper sand. Looked and sounded like the rider loved it but I do not know any French. The yells and sounds he made sounded like he was having a good time and was impressed.
Are they really going to try and do a 3 hour race on it on the beach?
I heard there were some Vargs in the TLD Day in the Dirt race . I do not know what class or much other than a customer who raced it said he saw a few. And that one of them was doing well but ran out of battery after 2 hours. And was very close to finishing. Surprised there has not been any videos popping up about them. It's cool to see people push the limits of the runtime. For me, I would run a gas bike if I was going to be racing a race that long. Its cool seeing more of them out there.
yeah, i thought that after i posted.
I dont know how many he won, it might be 3 or 4, but he has always been at the sharp end.
I had stepped away at that point having burmed through a ton of money doing summer/winter/summer/winter/Summer, which was bacically 5 years of racing in just a bit over 2 years, with a few AMA races in there for good measure.
Aprilia's were awesome, best bike on the grid by far. Would still be competitive now.
