Wow, thanks for all the kind words guys! As others have stated, I graduated from the Pre-Medicine program at Florida Gulf Coast University in the winter of 2019-2020. My YouTube channel was just started to gain traction at that time, and I was at a crossroads where I either had to take the MCAT and pursue medical school, or see where the racing and content took me. I felt like I never had a fair shot at the racing side of things because most of my time was spent maintaining perfect grades (required for med school), so I figured I might as well take a few years and “chase the dream” while I still could! School would always be there for me, but you only have a very small window of opportunity to race professional motocross. I’m glad I chose what I did for sure! It’s been really fun

Content revenue, sponsorships, and race/contingency payout are my only sources of income, and I fully fund my own racing. My dad loves racing more than anyone I know and he would absolutely pay for everything if I let him, but I told myself that if I can’t 100% fund it myself, then it’s not a real career and I’m fooling myself. I’m lucky that it’s been enough to support everything I’ve wanted to do, but I’m definitely not getting rich from it. I think it’s totally possible to make a lot more from it, but I don’t really enjoy pestering the followers with the typical content creator stuff. I’m just stoked they’re interested in what I’m doing and watch the videos, and if that covers my racing then that’s totally cool with me. It’s likely that I’ll take the MCAT in the next year or two and go back to school, but you never know!

As for B-Unit; she’s a very quiet and shy person and she wasn’t enjoying some of the strange comments and direct messages she was getting. On top of that, she was also graduating college and getting a job of her own, so she doesn’t attend practice days nearly as much as at the start of the channel. We recently picked up a clapped out CRF150F trail bike for her, so we might make a build series on the channel if she’s up for it!

That’s pretty much all. Thanks again guys! Super cool and humbling to see posts like this. Hope y’all had a great Easter

I remember watching you shred a YZ125 at 74mx one day, Then like two days later the helmet cam of it was going viral and your channel took from there.

I worked full time when I was in college, and raced harescrambles every weekend out of my own pocket and if I said it was easy I’d be lying! Huge props to you for paving your own way and still having a great career to fall back on when riding for a living is over for you.

Classy for Jeff to post. Love his content and always watch where he stands while I’m watching the Nationals.

I do have a question though for Jeff if he has the time.

I know he is riding the 22 GasGas since his KTMs are being worked on. Could you ride the 22 in the Nationals? I thought there was a limit on how far back you could go back using older models? I could be totally off base though.

I’ve never actually looked it up in the rule book, but my understanding is that there’s a 4-year homologation rule for the nationals. A 2020 model is the oldest you can race this year.

I have heard, however, that an OEM can choose to not give contingency if you’re on a previous generation bike even if it is legal by the AMA. No idea if that will apply in my situation, but the KTM group has always been great with contingency so I don’t see them pulling it. Time will tell!

Jeff I will be sure to check out your videos. My son raced a lot when younger then he went on to Med school, never thought we would really ever be the team we once were. Wrong! we raced amateur day in Millville last year and both did great, then he flew into Colorado to do a CORCS race last weekend, we both won our classes! He is an amazing surgeon and I am one lucky father. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

I remember that it was a mod bike, sounded sweet. . Riding the cr125 blew his channel up.  1.9 mil views in what,s faster cr125 or 4-st.  Throw a stroker crank in the cr125 , 03 kx125 Budd hgs pipe , ignition for performance & sweet sound. And call out Jimmy D for a 125 race. That’s a 5+ mil views.  I would live it up now.  My dr she worked 29 days straight the last time I saw her.  I just had my 13th injection, back, neck, nerves on back of shoulder.  Probably won’t see a channel from me this yr. If would melt peoples minds if I mixed the bizarre 1099 Chicago Eastern European trucking for weeks running 7 day weeks 20+ hrs. Then on my 1st day off of 6 days. I,m ripping the 04 cr125 DBP/ double boost port. Lol

What I meant with that was that his gopro footage looks unreal fucking fast and that I sometimes can't imagine that there is riders going even faster. I didn't say anything bad about his content? Maybe my wording was bad on that one.

That one’s on me. I took you’re comment the wrong way. I was thinking you’re saying there is faster guys out there why waste your time watching him. I totally missed the “when” in the first sentence lol

So cool for both of you to share that! As much as I love the racing and training, my favorite part BY FAR is getting to spend so much time with my dad. I always thought it was strange that my friends would show up to practice days and races by themselves. It took me a long time to realize that I was the strange one for always having him with me! And by "strange", I of course mean "insanely lucky". He'll work an 8pm to 8am 12-hour night shift at the hospital and still show up to a 10am open practice just to watch me spin some 30s at a track he's seen me ride a million times. Sometimes still in his scrubs! Truly an animal. I'm sure your son cherishes you being at the track just as much as I do with my dad
