It wasn’t behind a waving checkered flag. The red cross flag was sticking out into the track, and the waving checkered was behind it as in further off the track and not actually behind it. Both flags were clearly visible if they looked. They all just assumed it was checkered only. That’s on them.
Rule states if he gained an advantage, he’d lose the positions he gained and docked an additional 2 positons. The rule for not gaining an advantage but still breaking the Red Cross rule is 2 positions.
Hmm…Anderson docker 4 positions.
What I figured. I’m glad they stuck to the rules but obviously shit placement if you have four champions miss what should be a very important and obvious flag.
Im curious, do yall think Jo will go back to PC, I think he signed the hrc contract before the were able to figure the bike out last year, but imo PC is the place you want to be, the bike is clearly a lot more powerful
Rules are rules you cannot give anyone a pass for jumping a Red Cross.
The flaggers needs to be seriously looked at after that, if that was a life or death situation at least run down face of the jump or go to the last corner, they must do a better job warning the riders, that was seriously pathetic.
There was no care or urgency by that flagger, just static.

Knowing Anderson he probably flipped the flagger off.

This has to be looked at by all riders and ....Ugh, AMA to look at this in the eyes of the rider.
Don't build a big jump finish at the Checkered flag that will cause this type of scenario
