I don't know why some of you guys keep going on about it.

Edit: Typo.

How is that NOT an acceptable goal for a young dude that’s where he’s at as a racer?

The career trajectory he's been on has been amazing to watch.

2021 250 MX Champion

2022 250 SX East Champion

2022 250 MX Champion

2023 250 SX West Champion

2023 450 MX Champion

2023 450 SMX Champion

It's now 2024 and he's leading the 450 SX championship in his rookie season.

If he goes on to win the 450 SX title this year, he'll have won 6 championships in a row (not including the SMX title).

I believe he'd be the first one to accomplish that as well. And by six, I mean MX and SX combined. I know RC never lost an MX championship.

Edit: Typo.

All great stuff. The 250 stats are cool but thats a different book. There's never been a question about the talent. The potential is there. It's the ludicrous chatter from the Jettsons. The crapping on the history of this sport, the passing of the crown prematurely, etc...

Someone's gotta offer a counterpoint of view. Sorry I'm old school, show me don't tell me. Are we at 10, 20, 30, 40, or even 50 yet? Yawn...

Riding is one thing but you wouldn't expect such a rare talent and history making rider to have a business selling donuts if fitness and nutrition are “Ricky’s keys to success” or being compared to boy toy Justin Bieber by ESPN.  We aren’t ethnocentric but most of the talent we see and cheer for coming up through the ranks are from America with the announcers saying where they are from every chance they can get unless it’s a vet like Kenny who establishes himself and doesn’t talk shrimp on the barbie.  Riders like Prado don’t come in looking to be a Spanish conquistador.  If you want to be the best in sports with the fans it takes good riding manners and humbleness off the track not looking to make money off people with a fan zone or Jettson T-Shirts.

Some of the people on here are clamoring so hard for a reason to hate certain riders they twist words or flat out make shit up.

He doesn’t want to break McGrath’s records but go for 73 SX wins.

I don’t know what that means but I have a rhyme: “73 and king me”

Tomac getting 21 more wins to MATCH MC's 72 is more believable than Jett getting 67 more wins in his career.

What a PR disaster that was

Some goat trying to be a king.

The best example of when the Production tries to hype the sport and fails at the expense of the professional athlete.
