Art of War in Charlotte area. Probably the most knowledgeable person you can find about Showa in general.

I went with TAGMX on my bike, they're a Race Tech shop, located in North Carolina.

Factory Connection they've got more data than most suspension shops!

I've always had good luck with Pro Action.

I can't justify spending 1300 on stiffer fork springs and some shims.

Yes they're expensive but you're paying for their knowledge and a revalve is only as good as the information you give them you got to know what to ask for such as is it blowing through mid-stroke do you need the front to hold up in the turns so on so forth. Can't just hand in the suspension and say hey I weigh 200 lb make it work LOL

Travis at SRS in Ohio has the showa stuff figured out.. his valving, bottoming cones, and low friction bushings turned my SR stuff into a really damn good set up.

You're last sentence is what 99.9999% of people do.

I'm 170 pound Expert on a 24 KX450, I don't need to reinvent the wheel. I just need the forks to stop diving and shock a little stiffer, costs 600 bucks and I get to speak to the guy who works on my stuff.

Not at Enzo you don’t. You give them weight, skill and what you are riding and most times they nail it first try. No need to be an expert of the bike issues.

We're probably talking about different levels of riders for me   a base setting will probably be just fine for a rider like my son who's is ex Pro he's picky needs a lot of fine-tuning he knows what he likes that's where understanding suspension comes in and yes it's worth it!

That’s the truth. Depends on level for certain. I was talking the general guy, the 99% guys. My mistake.

I sent my KYB stuff to Craig Decker with Enzo in texas for a revalve and springs, and he nailed it the first try. Just told him my weight, skill level and types of dirt/tracks/riding I do. And it was cheaper than most other companies I looked at, in the $700-800 range. I'm sure they do just as good of a job with Showa stuff

I’m curious, do you have good experience with them? They are local to me in the Norfolk area, and I was hoping to get a service/revalve done without shipping my suspension off.
