Pretty sure I remember an interview with Rick Johnson when he said “if I knew someone had a sore ankle I’d try to run that foot over in practice.”

To be fair that Stew vs Reed rivalry literally filled stadiums so I’m sure Feld was all for it..

Not an 18 year old with one win and a sidebar "series" title to his name.

You must of never watched RC on a 125 !

Oh we did, seeing him whip it upside down after winning all the 125 sx races was awesome. Too bad danger boy isn’t even close to his level in the regional class today, even competing in the weaker division.

Reed was a dick at times pure and simple. Bubba should have set his bike on fire!

Both were dicks at times, but I was, and still am a fan of both regardless.

So Stewart is pissed and walks into Reeds pit and kick's Reed's bike off the stand ! Imagine if that happened in today's time with all this social media drama that seems to explode after every race these day's. What would you all be saying about Stewart if that were to have happened last weekend ?

Well ?

So RC picks Stewart's bike up off of his and literally throws it down to get it off his bike after Stewart and RC's line cross and they crash . Then on the next lap Stewart is still on the ground trying to wake up from his dirt nap and RC slows down and yell's some choice words at Stewart on the way by . What would some of you be saying ?

Hanna hated his rivals and would literally plow right through them to make a pass . Just ask Howerton or DeCoster or anyone who raced him back in the day . He would admit he'd hit you as hard as he could if he needed to . What would you drama queens be saying then ?

I could go on and on about things that happened in moto back in the day that if they were to happen in today's time it brings on a totally different reaction , and not in a good way . What's changed ? Social media ? 4-strokes ? Estrogen ? Climate change ? WHAT ??? Fire away !

First off, I’m guessing you weren’t here when Stewy kicked Reeds bike, because this place had a melt down.

Everyone loved Hannah back in the day because there was no internet, otherwise they all would’ve called him a cry baby, because he 100% was. I liked Bob, I got to know him a little in 81-82, but he complained about everything. I’ll also say that people in the know didn’t dig the way he rode with Howerton, or the way he treated other riders, but again, no internet so no one knew.

RC pushed the bike off because his bike was trapped under it, simple.

I really didn’t mind Deegs pushing Hammakers bike off, it’s the way he talked to him, and they way he talked to him and the others back at the PC rig, when that crash was 50% his fault. I also didn’t care for the finish line pass, but I don’t hate him for it

I didn’t care how carried himself that whole day

What about the time that RC was racing Ronnie Mac and getting beat. Then RC took him out in a turn and Mac crashed hard. Mac went to yell at RC and his bodyguard tackled him! NOBODY said a word on here. You think Mac deserved that? Cool

Mac didn't go to yell at RC, he pushed RC off his bike...

People didn't know Bob was brash, arrogant, cocky, and hated the other riders because there was no internet? No EVERYONE knew this about Bob WITHOUT the internet!

I liked them both too but Chad would make up for the fact that he was a tick off most of the time with his "race craft" Wink

I think what he is saying is without the exposure of the internet sometimes a legend is born that may not be representative of real life. Would Hannah have been as popular if he was shown to be a whiny cry baby? He was just before my time but it has always seemed to me his fans have a different perception of him than those that knew him.
