Figured I’d do a thread on my 07 Kx 250 2smoker just to show what changes I make and track the progress with the bike. I also ride this bike weekly and absolutely love it ! Here’s an updated parts list :
- 2010 kx450f forks with dlc lowers, stock 07 shock all done and re valved by pro circuit
- Pro Circuit triple clamps
- PC linkage
- PC ti2 carbon shorty silencer with works pipe
- rebuilt top end wiseco piston and topped off with spec bolt kit.
- V Force 3 reeds
- Hinson clutch basket paired with a Rekluse clutch kit
- Throttle Syndicate team issue seat cover
- Odi bars with Odi lockon grips
- Raptor krt pegs
Contact Tom Morgan Racing, he has a simple mod to help it shift smoother.
Parts list update: Pro Circuit ti2 shorty, Pro Circuit axle blocks, Pro Circuit triple clamps, light speed carbon skid plate, spec bolt kit for the whole bike.
Engine is coming together! Vapor blasted most parts besides the cases since I didn’t split this motor, and just waiting on some parts to get back from cerakote to be complete. I have tabs getting welded on the frame for the skid plate so I can ditch the aluminum hooks, after that gets done the frame is off to powder for a fresh coat of silver.
Hopefully your spec bolt kit holds up. Have nickel wurks kit on one of mine and they started to rust after a couple rides/washes would never buy again. Imo a Bolt hardware pro pack is much better quality just not as flashy.
Hopefully that doesn’t happen.. this is my first set so I guess we will see !

Need to get a new set of wheels DNA's are garbage but was all I could afford at the time. Next set will be dubya mag Haan hubs with silver excels
Very similar bikes ! I have also been debating on going back to a silver rim with mag hubs instead of black !
Powder turned out great on the frame now time to start assembling!
This thing is really starting to come together, just a few more parts we are waiting on and I’ll be able to show the final product ! The real question black or silver rims ? Will be paired with a mag hub
Try some gold? It’d be nice to see some fresh options, and I think it could look quite nice.
I vote Silver with the mag hubs! Black look like trash after 10-15hrs and Everyone has them you rarely see silver anymore. But don't listen to us do what you like best it's your bike 🤘🏻

Nice! Silver + mag is a great combo for sure.
What shifter is that for? I know PC didn't make one for the kx250 2t. Looks like it fits well.
Kx450 shifter. Fits just fine! 22 I believe
Well here the bike is ! I do have white plates and original front fender and graphics coming to give the bike the original look but what’s on it will do for now. Better more detailed pics are coming !
