I was really surprised something didn't happen with the whole pushing match...but up until then it was just racing.... when on the track tension and emotions are high no doubt!!

I kind of think they got it right tonight. A little pushing and shoving should not be grounds for a DQ in my opinion as long as the riders check themselves before it escalates. If people start throwing punches, toss 'em.

The biggest problem is the consistently inconsistent rulings by the people in charge.

but they already said this year that putting your hands on another rider was the line you could not cross . so wtf ? i guess they are guidelines and not really rules .

soooo agree! but how many years have we seen this inconsistency? I am starting to think with everything it is a gamble.... are you going to get the crack of the whip or the cheek turned the other direction???????

Anyway i reckon my son after a brocken back then wrist and no money in the bank from 3 years pro, after Qualifying 3rd and getting a shit start and being held up and slammed, he lost it a little, in 15yrs of racing ive never even seen him loose it slightly, so i guess he is a little frustrated, so to Tapio from Jakes dad. Sorry and i hope you make a main.

IMO a shove is an MX version of a punch since the would be no point to punch since theres a helmet there. Moss should have been sat out for the rest of the night.

I don't really have a problem with what happened during the race. The part that cracks me up is the AMA's complete lack on consistency. They wanted to fine Reed for pushing Bubba off of his broken hand and then DQ'd Davalos during qualifying. Funny stuff.

Tevin looks good. Before Tevin came into SX the last time I had seen him was in seattle area racing peewees. The kid has come a long way and impressed the heck out of me in the lcq. Your kid is determined,not scared and willing to throw down.. LOVE IT!!!!

great reply by both Dads! Tevin's a great kid with tons of potential. I've seen him race at Washougal quite a few times and he has races with so much heart and never gives up! plus he's got his head on straight and isn't out there to just chase tail and $ bills, at least that's what I could tell from meeting him and his pops. CODY STROUT .....update...please read prayers needed! It was a topic from RRSis17 on this site, kid is in a bad way. Its not ozzie Cody Mackie if thats what you thought, Cody has just returned from training with Jake in the states and should be training down the Moss Institute in the next week or 2, hopefully he will be upfront in the oz nats.

Now back to this topic.......agree with the dad's .....racing is a high intensity sport.....I have seen my bro fired up many times after races...I am just excited and ready to see everyone race this weekend in person!!!! And some bar banging won't get any complaints from me!! :-)

I think I have seen just about every rider make a similar mistake over the years....it happens....you guys just like to complain....

Yep Stewart, Reed, Carmichael...none of them ever came up short on a jump or ran into the back of a rider stopped in a corner!!!
to me that wasn't a mistake, it looked like he wanted to land on moss

I thought that LCQ race was the best one of the night. With the tension between the two of them from the heat, it was good to see the two of them going at it again. After the triple, Tevin squared it up and could have easily put Moss on the ground. I am sure he would have loved to, for two reasons, getting into the main and because of the previous incident, ... but he didn't, he kept it clean. And after Moss did get by, Tevin still went for it a hundred percent, I thought it was awesome seeing some one want it so bad.

The AMA is worse than the us government. I understand having rules and slight variations of the rules because they are a privateer. The big word there is slight, that operation is just plain fucked. Sorry for the word, however it suites. I think raw emotion is something everyone in the world can relate to. This in turn creates interest. Touching and shoving is fine, escalation is not. Allowing a supercross in Canada and the CMA to govern is pathetic. It shows how messed up this sanctioning body and the series are. Personally I think the FIM need to get out of the states, the AMA need a complete top end rebuild, and we seriously need to voice our opinions. Going back to the original topic. Great racing, fun to watch, no harm no foul. Shake hands like men, and move on.
