I was thinking the exact same thing while watching the quali race yesterday. The fact that the supercross layout are almost always identical kills a lot of excitment for me. And it’ssuchva bummer that this track is not gonna be on the calendar anymore because year after year it gives us amazing racing.

Is the track open to the public during the year or it’s only used the weekend of the gp?

Our ama tracks are way better than most your gp tracks, let’s be real. Argentina is a beautiful track, but most the tracks in Europe suck, rocks everywhere. Even Prados about to say f the mxgp series, he wants real tracks with some real money. Shoot, if I owned a bunch of land in the middle of nowhere and gave Lunongo a couple million, I could host a gp!!! 😂😂😂😂

I'm from Canada so I'm not a european at all. If you read my post again, you will see that I was saying that I like motocross in general better than supercross because the supercross track are all almost identical nowadays and it really gets boring over time.

Now to your point, I do agree that some tracks in the gps are pretty bad and I would prefer to race the ama series.

What a race again. Damn!

Hopefully Lucas can line up for race 2.

Rossi is impressive. 2 crashes and still finishing 4th

Like Gajser said yesterday that track is well sketchy and the slippery surface with the hard base ain't good for bones.

Maybe it's not such a bad thing it's off the calendar after all, especially as the first race of the season.

Going from weeks of SX, well, the first GP is Always a bit of an eye opener, in the form of the sheer speed difference. Woohoo

And Argentina, really is a Fast track, with so many floaters and so much in the way of direction changes with those floaters.

Ad in that surface, and it's pretty bloody full on.

Bummer that injuries have already hit both classes.

It's sad to see it go, and I really hope the next Argentinian GP, if there is still to be one, is a track up to the standard we've seen there since 2015.

The standard of coverage and commentary is second to none - that they can get the highlights up so very quickly is something for other streamers to use as an inspiration.

De Wolfs last corner overtake into second was quite something, and seeing it from the air so quickly after it, was great.

3.10am here - and the 450s are about to start. And, I've a very full day of work to get to.......

Febvre has been quicker than Prado the last 3 laps. We have a race on!

Pauls Jonass cruising to 3rd in the first moto is such a good story, that guy has had so much bad luck the recent couple of years.

I actually think why the GP riders usually come over here and win a title is because of their tracks being “worse”. GP riders get better and going 30 plus 2 on super beat up tracks. They come over here and ride the exact same prep and ruts every weekend. Once they learn the track design and get use to the lifestyle the big names that come over usually win. I feel like they are more refined in different skill sets because of all the different types of tracks they have to ride.

also, anyone who has a clue knows you

are exaggerating with the “most tracks suck”

statement. More like most are really good and a few suck. The AMA series is exactly the same every weekend. Groomed 28 feet deep. One main line gets put in and the rest of the corner is a shit show. I’ll take variety

Rocky, square edge, a lot of the tracks don’t look as good to ride on unlike most ama outdoor tracks. The prep is better out here.

MXGP Race 1:

Reigning champ back on top as Gajser & Herlings make mistakes. Jonass looking good out there.

Down to 29 now as we look to have lost Victor Dario Arco from this morning's warm-up session.

"Just" a twisted thumb for L coenen. Back on the line now. Not ideal but it looked a lot worse than that when he pulled off

Very impressed by the Triumph bikes.
It’s not easy to start from scratch and compete immediately.

Did Coenen pass Harrup on waved yellows? Do you think Triumph may a make protest about that?

Right?!?! To come into Supercross and having a competitive bike was extremely impressive.

But to come to MXGP and get a Podium in their first race!!!! Wow. Unbelievable accomplishment

L.Coenen really shit the bed today, could've gone 1-1 but ended up DNF-3.

But the riding was great, the other contenders will have to hope he keeps making mistakes.

You could say that race was a triumph for Triumph.

Coenen race his heart out but Lost It 3 corners to go after all of the hard work... What a shame.

All of the sudden Herlings body position on a bike reminds me of Cairoli in his last year racing.

Herlings went 4-2 in Argentina last year, coming from a 14 month break of racing. He won 4 GPs after that if I am correct, already round 2 in Sardinia. It’s been 7-8 months this time. Not surprised if he’s the champion this autumn still.

Do any of you guys know where Lupino, Koch, Paturel or Mitch Evans are at? This is only my second year REALLY following the series and last year those guys were in the top 10 and nowhere this year. Is Guadagnini injured?
