Do you people really believe that even if Tomac was struggling with a smoked clutch, he would be stupid enough to blame the bike in public? C’mon guys, he’s played this game way too long and knows better. “Yeah, no, it was the clutch that didn’t hold up to my abuse. But hey, run out and buy yourself a brand new YZ, they’re the best”!

Well his mechanic had no issues with writing “CLUTCH!!!” on his pit board, and his team manager had no problem telling the broadcast that the smoke was his clutch, so I’m not sure why Tomac would lie about it when everyone knows he’s a well documented clutch abuser.

Not a Jet fanboy but my guess is he will win every race for the balance of the season.  Nobody is on his level.  Not even close.

Still not 100% on the train. That track was a risk reward track. What I saw from jett was he was willing to risk it for the biscuit with the quad that was 3/4 + a lap in time and another spot where he pushed and got a few more tenths that guys were just taking the safe line.

All honesty what I'm seeing is every week there's a guy for that weekend that just has a little more then the rest or willing to hang it out a little more then the others. Last week mookie ken and eli were the men there but jett almost won and coop grinded it out.

This week jett put it on the line and did what other didnt feel like doing. There wasnt anything stewable that made the difference.

Next week who really knows. This is a great year every week there's 8-10 guys that could just show up and win.

Im more interested in how the outdoors go. That will cement somethings one way or another.

What do you think is going to happen outdoors? One more year of experience for Jett on the 450. Nobody stands a chance. He doesn't make these little mistakes outdoors he does in sx

IMO opinion his breakout moment happened 4 (or was it 5?) years ago in that ride vs DF14 when he endo'd after the whoops.

To me he is not as nailed as in mx so far. He is a rookie, that is normal. He makes pretty big and scary mistakes each race. So this is not a break out, I would just call it a bit of fresh air, that is lot of points in the big picture. He is faster but takes more chances too. He could DNF the next round and be out, he took already a few chances this year. There are a few things to be polished and I am surprised as after mx last year I was thinking he would be more dominant. Guess the old guards are there and putting a lot of pressure. The next 4 races will be important for the title, overall he has what it takes, he did the most difficult so he may just need to be a bit like Dungey now, cool, calm and collected (and scoring 22 points each week end).

How do you figure that’s a bit much?  He’s talking about outdoors, and Jett may still be figuring out a 450. NOBODY is on his level, and by the time the only rider of any consequence comes up, which is really only Deegan, he’ll have that much more experience - by the time Deegan or anyone else you may want to insert figures it out IF anyone can, Jett will be about done. Of course this is all barring injury - which could very well happen……to any of them

Is it that much of an exaggeration? I would have bet money Chase was gonna stop the perfect season at Unadilla last summer. Chase smoked Tomac by 15sec there in '22. Jett toyed with him. I don't want to see one guy win everything but what going to change this summer? Is Gajser coming over and I haven't heard yet?

This is fair. Look how last week he had the win in the bag and in the blink of an eye he finishes 4th. It really is striking the difference between him in sx and mx. Like you said he just need to get a little more Dungey like

No. Im not saying nobody stands a chance, I’m just saying that it’s not a stretch to say that. I’m only going by results, facts snd the scoreboard I’m not taking any conspiracies or predictions into consideration. I’m curious can YOU think of anyone RIGHT NOW - or on deck in the future on his level? If so who and why?  Or are you just trying to stir the pot?

I'm willing to bet Jett thinks it's an exaggeration both in public and private. But in the meantime... lead the way Custer, surely those Indians don't stand a chance 🥴

I get very jealous when Jett Ball Gargling gets thrown around without consideration. I am the No1 Jett Ball Gargler on Vitard. Everyone else step side or watch your back.

Just a reminder there's no *special notations in the event of mud, mechanicals, bad starts, or injuries regarding riders results in future races. Could have, should have, and would have aren't accepted in moto.

OK. Tell you haven't been paying attention to moto in the last year without telling me 😂. If you’re NOT a gargler. Can you name ONE rider on the planet who could beat Jett?  You can take your time. I’ll wait - of course you can’t. It must suck if you’re a moto fan and can’t recognize or appreciate the start of a domination we haven't seen in a while. Just appreciate it don’t hate on it. You’re just projecting homosexual connotations with your gargle comment - not that there’s anything wrong with that. It just sounds so uninformed and jealous.

The Jett haters are bizarre.  They don't realise how ignorant of the sport they appear by the fact they can't accept how great a rider Jett is - when it's right in front of their eyes.

They're so obvious. If he wins they make a load of excuses as to why it somehow wasn't a real win - 'weak-field' being the most used example. If he makes any mistakes - on track or off - they pile on with the abuse.  If he wins - and they can't find anything to attack him with - they resort to calling people, who can actually recognise a great rider when he appears, nut huggers, gurglers and so on. Finally, they all have other favorite riders who they're desperate to believe are the same as Jett.  They'll use any little glimmer or hope to latch onto.  Cooper Webb is one of the favorites.  If you can't see the difference between Jett and Webb it's difficult to argue with you.

Go ahead and call be a gargler - you'll just prove my point.

Last year's mx chase didn't lead a single lap.

This year's sx Eli hasn't led a lap. (AMA records, I know he led the 3crown race).

He only won Daytona because he was the only one stupid enough to do the quad plus he should have been penalized for tyre blanket-gate.

But when folks say "nobody stands a chance" and "well those were mud races" and making championship predictions prematurely, it has a polarizing effect on even the most sedate moto fan. It's the lack of humility by some of his fans that creates the back and forth. Personally I think Jett is fantastic on and off the race track. Some of his fans, not so much.

Yeah - No, I think that makes perfect sense, why don't you tell me why you disagree instead of just squawking?  yeah - no?

I agree totally stirring the pot - but he provides reasoning to his statements as opposed to oh other posters.

You are entirely qualified to change my mind - you just haven't presented a cognizant argument. Do you even have one??

The statement "nobody stands a chance" is so out there frankly it doesn't deserve rebuttal. The argument is obvious to even a casual observer. Don't count your chickens before they hatch! In my defense I've learned to never argue with an eight-legged mule. The net is loaded with 'em. I'm not trying to win the internet today. I love moto but not all the back and forth stuff. I think I should stay away from butting my nose into other people's business. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! 🙂

Jett is insane. But there is a lot of races left.

ET is going to get better. hope he does outdoors

Why do people keep saying deegan is the only challenge to Jett? He has one sx win that the guy crashed out of.

Sexton will get better each rd with his hand getting stronger etc.

never say die 450 class☠️

No real fan or student of the sport can watch that heat and main last night and not give credit where it's due.

I'm a diehard Tomac fan, called Jett an entitled punk many times after the press day interview in San Diego and then after the Anderson fiasco....but that kid still has the red plate even after his mini meltdowns and mistakes.

I won't be happy at all if Jett wins this title, but man if you watch what he did in the heat and main last night, and don't recognize how impressive it was, that's pretty ridiculous.

It reminded me of last summer when it looked like he was a riding a different track than everyone else.

Now, get off my lawn and someone tell me when Tomac gets the red plate 😂
