Deegan has a single SX win in 250s and only got it because Forkner crashed out. He hasnt even been on the podium in his other 2 races this year.

Deegan wont be challenging for 450 wins anytime soon. He would be lucky to be battling Hunter for top 10 spots.

Oh we are back to this again, yay. Thats like saying chase was gifted the championship because Eli's achilles ruptured. Racing is racing, crashes happen. If deegs didn't have that wrist injury, he would be in a lot better shape and form for racing. Not saying he isn't but I think it still effects him somewhat. Give haiden some time to get comfortable with everything. He will definitely win some more races this year. He is one of my title favorites.

The point was that Deegan only has one 250 win. Where he wasn't the fastest guy in the track. He got the win and that's all that matters ultimately. But he is nowhere near being good enough to be top 5 in the premier class.

He is still young, he will get faster and learn what to do and what not to do when he's racing. He is still learning to improve his technique and his speed.

And where will Jett be in the 450 class mature and speed wise by the time Deegz moves up? Jetts going to be polished 450 rider in his prime by the age of 23.. Deegz will  be 3 years behind trying to get his feet wet

Side note, guess Jetts going all out on the tats.

I don't understand how people think these next 10 years will be a breeze for jett. It won't, sure the legends will retire but theres always new, and fast people coming into the class.

There is NOBODY in the amateurs coming up that will match his pace, at least not until he’s done, there’s no secret rider in this generation we don’t know about. Maybe Deegan if he keeps improving but so will Jett. The next person is still on a stacyc

So back to the original question. Was it super muggy or maybe the combination of sand and sweat was irritating? Not gonna lie, I did think it was kind of weird at first when the broadcast cut to him without a shirt on and pants unzipped. ET and Chase didn’t seem like like they were uncomfortable.

Just like we don't know how jetts career will play out. We have no idea about deegans either. His season could have been over after the triple crash.

He could have a Jett/rv/rc/stew like 250 career. But he could also end up having a ac/forkner like 250 career. But I think it will be somewhere in between.

All we know is the pressure got to him yesterday. He had a chance to take over the series with the title favorite out and he chocked. Now Cameron and Tom are in the points he will have a dog fight for this. Plus if TV pulls this championship off he’s going to have confidence going into outdoors that’s going to make him the dangerous one

Not sure how a Jett/Tomac thread turned into a Deegan vs. The World?
Maybe deegan_lover_86 can explain it.

Just checking in on the thread, looks like my job is almost done. So do we think that Eli came to Daytona to make a statement? Jett decided to beat him up at his own game ala Reedy 05.  These boys better figure something out quick, points are getting close to the point of management for little Jettson Merc

Removing his jersey shows no respect to his sponsors.

Your boy HD was having his own issues. He'll have a lot of learning to do before he's a threat to Jett.

Agree. I like Deegans fighting spirit but even if he did a fantastic 360 spin, he didn't look like championship contender. He looked like RC did, a lot of fighting spirit, less finess and it got him (Deegan) in the end.

Crazy thing about Jett (and Hunter for that matter) is they both had practically zero SX experience before going to the US, whereas mini Deegan has had most of his life.  Theoretically the ceiling in SX is higher with Jett.

Look at yesterdays clusterfuck of a track.  Jett was all over the place in the first half of the race...mistakes everywhere and he still gets the win.  Imagine if he can tidy up his SX craft coz at the moment it can get pretty messy.

Dude, he's an Aussie. Those guys sometimes go shirtless to a steak dinner. Don't read too much into it.
