Probably. If he can get a top 5 start at least.

Damn I see a couple vital posters started hitting the booze early today.. RV by 30 seconds.. Hopefully CR can finish ahead of RD though and help RV out with the points situation.

I said top two before practice. I'll amend that to agree with the title of this thread.

While RD and RV have been riding great they have not been at the level of JS and CR. That isn't to say they won't be next week but this weekend is going to take them by surprise, neither has pushed it as much as they need to in order to win when the two veterans are back.

I'm surprised Reed was that fast! But I'll be surprised if his hand will hold up through the end of the night. Remember he wasn't even going to race cause it isn't 100%. Never know though!

Reed needs a holeshot and to put in about 10 fast laps so he can put it on cruise control and hope that RV and RD can't over take him.

Maybe that was an excuse in case he wasn't fast when he got there.

It is going to get rough and gnarly out there, his hand will still be on the weak side after 12-15 laps........

I wouldn't get too far ahead of yourselves. Chad told me that he broke one of his thumbs in practice this week.

What has broken bones ever had to do with Reed winning? Broken thumb, that's what duct tape's for.

RacerX is now saying Chad has not one, but TWO bad hands.

Chad Reed's left hand feels better, but now he's got an injured right thumb. #sx

Last I checked, two. That's what most people have.

Not taking anything away from the recent top runners, but!
I think we have been lulled into a sense that everyone is faster than they are.
I exclude Dungey and RV from this, I think they could run with Chad Weed and Bubba.
But with the long list of top competitors out with injury everyone is obviously 'closer'

Weed will start wining (like now)
Bubba will win most everything when he comes back.
Grant will be on the box kicking off some of the leaders.

The points race will be very interesting and will go to the wire between the Ryan's when other folks are winning races.

P.S. Both Ryan's will win more races even after weed and bubba come back

Reed will get on the box. Wont be the top step though. He wasnt lighting the world on fire when he was healthy, and if he is jumping back into it with a bad hand then he will be lucky to be near RV and Dungey at the end.
