Weege is just playing middle man. We also don’t know all the ins and outs of what’s happening especially in a sport where 20 things are happening at any given moment on the track and we don’t have enough cameras or personnel to cover it all at the same time. The broadcast obviously needs improvements but this is absolutely the best the broadcast has been in terms of quality and coverage which is what Weege is conveying.
Nope, he actually said he doesn’t see how it can be improved. He never said it was the best we have done and we will continue to look into ways to improve. If he said that I would say they have a great mindset, but that’s not what they said. JT even kinda started to say they could improve stuff and Weege shut him down, this was on the pulp show about 3-4 episodes back
To clarify, I’m not saying he specifically said it needs improvement, that is my opinion. He has conveyed it’s the best it’s ever been (not exactly those words but he always compares it to back in the day when they did voice overs of a recording of the race). The physical product we get i.e. Peacock/on demand/HD video is what I’m referring to here. He absolutely plays the “company man” card more often than not but his most recent appearance on Gypsy Tales was a great conversation on changes in the sport that can be made and his very rational responses to Gypsy’s outcry that there should be more change in the sport.

I was watching a 20 year old broadcast, before high definition even, and was wondering why it was WAY better. In a couple of minutes I figured it out... they were calling the race!! A heat race is only a few minutes long. Show us the race, and call the race! I don't want to see a guy picking up his bike from a crash for 15 seconds... I don't want to go to the pit reporter, for her to tell us that the leaders mom said he used to bring his favorite dog to the races every weekend. And the next time they are showing two no names battling for 9th place, and you hear the crowd roar in the background because there was a pass for the lead - fire the entire production crew immediately.
Feld, we're still waiting for the wide angle cameras to capture all the action you are missing every week. Do any fans have footage of Barcia's crash or Ryder D's crash?
Best racing in years and by far the worst commentary. Put RC out to pasture.
When I spend 40% of the time watching the status bar on the left says something is definitely wrong with where they are pointing the cameras
I don’t see why they can’t alternate between splits and last lap time every few seconds like literally any other racing broadcast.

Exactly. Stop the filler and fluff stories during the race. Say what you see. You can see a battle coming and they have Malcolm riding alone for 3 laps 🙃 then talking golf and fishing during the race. Ugghh
I caught a glimpse of the Ryder D crash. Happens at about 15 seconds into the vid. Top of the screen in the long rhythm section.
I personally enjoyed watching Mookie in the first heat place 3rd only to have him introduced right behind Anderson in Heat #2. I mean this is simple basic stuff. It would be so refreshing to put someone new in this position and give them a hair of freedom.
You realize that 20 years ago they were likely calling the race AFTER it happened, right? The races weren’t generally broadcast live, and there was a lot of production done during the actual races and the next day broadcast. It’s a lot easier to cut to and react to things that have happened hours before.
Weege consistently implies fans complain about broadcasts because they are idiots.

The constant complaints are about Feld missing a lot of the off camera action. I provided a simple solution that's very easy to implement.
So your solution is to attend every race around the Country?
Across all sports everyone is complaining , it’s every week and tiresome. Just shut up and enjoy the show

But we pay for the so called entertainment. Frankly, it is truly a shite product. The athletes and racing are so good this year the broadcast team and production team look like my JR high video crew.
As for shutting up and enjoy it, no.
I do go to several races a year, and the product being crammed down our throats is not what is happening. Do you think I want or care at all about some jackoff golfer? If I did I'd watch golf. I do not want some split screen crap about golf in the middle of a race. Save us, the people who actually support the sport, and make it better. This failure to achieve is not what racing is about. It is about being the best or damn well trying. Feld is not trying.
Fire bondo already, instead he is praised for some unknown reason. If anyone sucked that much at their job they would be fired. Production sucks, mistakes everywhere, missing action every race, stale repeated junk program. With that said they do have some qualities with Weege and JT.
