He was flipping off the officials for not throwing the red flag because of the Deegan rule. “If a Deegan crashes a immediate red flag will be thrown and a “do over” will be implemented”  Ignorance of the rules is no excuse

I know this may sound strange but if you Bent your Bars back in the 80's you could Bend them Back with a Piece of Scaffold Bar as a quick fix, is this Allowed in Sx or is it  classed as too Dangerous? if its ok why Dont the Mechanics Carry a Bar it would take a few seconds to do & would be better than having to Ride round with totally bent out bars?

The bars in the 80’s were made from steel and were way easier to bend back than todays aluminium bars.

And a far bar bends easier that a bar with a crossbar, when i rode enduro i always used twinwall bars just for the strength.

if you try to bend a aluminium bar back again that is as bent as Dangerboys was, it’s prone to snap.

Roman carved up the pack in that race, his bars were bent bad and that track was rough. I don’t know how he did it, but he earned a ton of respect and a heap of fans that day.

Brian didn’t really do anything in his moto career apart from when he won a regional race at the LA Colosseum & ghosted his bike over the line.

So we hate a privateer for winning? If that happened today from a privateer 250 guy this place would explode and he would have 100,00 new fans over night

Every now and then, you'll see here in Pit Bits pictures / stories of various Team's Pit Carts.

Almost all of then will have a Bar and Subframe bending tool.

I think stillwelding here makes a fair few of said Pit Carts, by the way.

But, as Tumic said, there's quite some risk with re-bending an Aluminium bar - well, anything that has been bent to permanent distortion, but Aluminium, especially so. I'd only ever try to straighten Very Slightly tweaked Aluminium bars, and  then, they'd be promptly replaced after the race was finished.

Back to the often present Handle Bar and Subframe straightening tools on Pit Carts :

I was quite surprised to see a PC (?) Mechanic  kicking at one of the 250 Handlebars after that multi rider pile up in the 250 Final. They mustn't have had such a tool available. I thought one of the kicks had broken off the clutch perch at first, but I think, at least that, didn't happen.

He did but I don’t think it was towards anyone in particular. He was just frustrated he got knocked down in the start.

I looked at the supposed “arm waving” during qualifying and he wasn’t directing it towards anyone. Vialle was far away from him during the two laps prior and it looked like Deegan was doing circles with his “bad arm” to help with arm pump or something to that effect. He almost comes to a stop in the corner prior and he is whipping his arm around way before Vialle gets to him.

The waving during qualifying was to his teammate Daxton Bennick, Deegan was trying to drag him around.
Vialle just happened to be in between them.

He didn’t know. He was just frustrated with what happened and threw a finger to whomever was sitting in the corner.

Yeah, because winning a supercross race no big deal…

I was not a fan of Deegan as Metal Mulisha and freestyle was not my thing ..that being said I have grown to become a fan of his due to him promoting strong family values, hard work, being a man, strong father figure, taking care of your family, conservative values and he was clearly financially very smart. I get the whole “metal mulisha” thing now as very smart marketing.

The guy gave his son all the tools and opportunities to succeed in the sport. And in turn, his son worked his ass off and made the most out of said opportunities. Fans think it's some own to point this out. Oh they have an amazing family dynamic? That's a real gotcha if I've ever seen one

Just like people have a long list with things they don’t like about Jett, there is a list with the Deegans to.

Haiden being caught with running a big bore in the 50cc class.

The talk about Brians 167cc bike when he won his SX race (nobody likes a cheater)

The whole bike claim thing, how Brian ended up in the same room as Brennan and how Haiden acted like a cunt there.

Haiden going past the HRC camp to laugh at Hunters broken bike.

Haidens comment at Andersons post last week

etc..

I have never liked Brian, and now Danger boy starting to become Brian 2.0..

So we’re going to hate the kid, because we disliked his dad? Makes sense. Yes the Loretta bike claiming fiasco was a joke, but the kid did nothing wrong.

First I’ll say this, I don’t care for the over saturation of either family, but why does Haiden get shit for doing the same sorta stuff the that Hunta and Jett do?

Hunta and Jett low key talk shit, a lot of shit, but because Haidens dad was some how a dick when he was 21, Haidens an ass when he does it in public?

Everyone clammered for an out spoken kid that’s not afraid to say what’s on his mind, now that they have one, he’s to mean.

I remember people liking Hannah and JLaw because they were rebellious and said it like it was, now they whine. Motocross fans have gone soft, real soft.

Although I don’t dislike the guy, there are certain marketing decisions he has made for Haiden that make Haiden come off as inauthentic and I think it rubs people the wrong way. Most recently, their approach to this wrist injury. Haiden said it was only a week, Brian said 3-4 weeks, the industry said it was broken but the Deegan camp said it was just a sprain. The scripts he is given to say on camera are just weird for me. I hope he eventually starts speaking for himself.

All fair criticisms and rational reasons not to like him. The go to I see everywhere is he's was born with a silver spoon, he's only where he is because of Daddy's money, etc. Nobody gets anywhere in this sport without the complete dedication of their parents. If they were in a similar situation I'm sure they would all say, no I don't want your help Dad. I'm doing this on my own!

4 pages and we still don’t know who he was flipping off?

If he was flipping off Hammaker I’m almost inclined to give him a pass. Knowing exactly who caused that shit show is mildly impressive.

I'll fully admit I wasn't a Haiden Deegan fan early on in his rookie year.  I thought coming in as a rookie he wasn't worth the hype and hadn't earned what he was getting in terms of publicity, mainly due to the background of his family, his social media shtick, etc.  It felt kind of like an Ivy league college kid from a wealthy family that came out of Harvard or Yale and was given the keys the castle without working a legit day in the business.  The whole Dangerboy name is gay as hell at this point in his life.  I just thought it was all hype and very little substance.  That's not what the sport of MX was built around IMO.

But last summer in the outdoors, he won me over with his grit, skill on a dirtbike, fitness, and all out desire to win at all costs.  He put in some balls out gutsy rides last summer in the outdoors and its clear to me now that he's just a kid that is 100% committed to riding dirtbikes and winning championships.  His riding won me over and I'm a fan.  Much respect.
