Triumph debut, how will they do?

My prediction: Jalek does well in his heat race and gets in the top 10 in the main. Ferry goes to the LCQ and finishes around 15th in the main. 

No mechanical issues and both riders in the main will be a win for them imo. 

Strange as it seems, I'm more worried about the riders than the bikes. One's very inconsistent and the other is a bona-fide rookie

The media should be all over the first race for Triumph. They should be promoting the crap out of it! In order to grow the sport they need more manufacturers! There have been not one word about Triumph in practice or qualifying. 

They did good in europe today in qualifying race spanish championship 1 and 5 

This. I hope Swoll can figure out to be more consistent. As for Ferry, i have zero expectations on him as a factory rider, Triumph should not expect any results from him.

Pretty sure it's new.

The yd did mention both Triumph and Beta on RDL.  They did a small segment with Swoll as well. 
 

However,  it should be done for the mains not Race Day Live where only die hards who know about it already are the only ones watching. 

Not sure Triumph will have the debut they want. They should've raced the GP's before trying to shake the bikes down in SMX. 

Awesome effort from them imo , certainly looks the part and bike looks like it performs well , with ferry and swoll there's only so much you can expect but if swoll can be around the top ten I'd say that's a good start , ferry maybe in the main ? It's a long process but fair play to them for jumping in 👍

Ive read a few comments about possible/inevitable mechanical issues in the first races. I dont understand why- they will have done a lot of race simulations by now and surely wouldn't turn up if they thought they couldn't at least last the races.

Are you implying that 2x MXGP motor outdoors is going to be a lighter load on the bikes than 1x 6 lap heat & 1x 15 lap main event?

 

I’m excited to see them. I’m wearing my Triumph Racing shirt today. Swoll in the top 10 and Ferry in the main would be a phenomenal start for a brand new team.

Which will be a massive success.  Honestly, the bike looks good and sounds even better.  It seemed to be on par with the others on the start too...

I believe it comes from new teams coming into the series in the past and having a rough go their first few rounds. Beta this year for example have had a difficult start to the series. Triumph obviously has more experienced personnel that have been a part of SX teams in the past and a bigger factory backing but stuff happens and with Ferry coming in as a rookie and Swoll with up and down results on his resume, there’s certainly a few questions to be answered. That being said, Swoll looked decent in qualifying. Would be cool to see him get a good start and run the front runners pace a few laps. 

Just figured they'd should race a year in Europe before letting them run in the US. Know MXGP and SX/MX is two different types of racing, but they could've worked out the bugs before debuting here. I hope Triumph is successful in regards to no DNF's and qualifying/finishing races, but I'm a little skeptical.
