guess i don't know your point then...
i told you a factor in why these teams haven't made an announcement, you chose not to believe me, and then you said it was "weird" that they hadn't announced it. I essentially asked why it is weird to wait for good photos/videos and even for bikes to look good, and you couldn't give me an answer
i just wanted to know why it is weird
Maybe they’re tying up last minute sponsorship deals?
New changes in Mxgp calendar.
Mxgp of Madrid and Lugo changes dates.
Plus Prado said that if Argentina fall off the calendar there is a posibility to race Anahaeim 2.
Having decent photoshoot content seems like a good reason to wait a bit. But 3 months seems like a long time.
If i was a sponsor i would be unhappy that the team & rider are missing 2-3 months of attention in press coverage. Same with their social posts where i am not visible.

What i will say is that in the last 2 seasons, both MXGP and AMA have improved the racing by doing less ripping and watering .
But do not confuse ruts for lines.
I wasnt talking about "photos and videos". You were.
I was questionning the unusual temporality (concerning official riders announcement) for both team F&H and team Gariboldi this winter. No other team is in that particular case. Neither in Europe, nor in United States. Not this year, and not the previous ones.
So, I'm guessing the explanation would have nothing to do with "photos and videos".
that's the thing.... you're guessing, i'm not
teams wait ALL.THE.TIME to make announcements... they wait for contracts to end, or championships to be over, or special events like EICMA to release information, but sometimes, there aren't those moments, and if there is no actual reason to do a separate PR (which you still haven't provided a good reason why they should - @rym's reason about sponsors could be considered valid, if all the sponsors were ready to be visible) then why shouldn't Team HRC wait to do a release that includes 2 new bikes and a new rider?
I think doing all three, tied up in one big bow, rather than "here's a rider" and "now here's his bike" and then "here is the other new bike" and "here are two reoccuring riders" is a much neater idea
Agree, some times if you put to mucho wáter the track only develop one fast line and others lines are to slow.
Like some mxgp Riders said, the problem is that mxgp tracks were build to poder bikes and actual bikes are mucho faster to the size of the tracks.
Sorry, mate, but you're just guessing too.
End of the story, and lets agree to disagree!
Got to agree with you, this goes a lot deeper than photos and videos! It’s out of the ordinary 100%!
Im of the feeling that the 2 teams mentioned have these deals in place depending on fulfilment of funding from deals in principle! And wouldn’t want to embarrass them selves by jumping the gun as an example like REVO gasgas did
Uddevalla is only one lined when it rains, which is the Swedish tradition for the Uddevalla GP weekend, 🇸🇪👍

To be honest i expected a bit more from the photoshoot 🙂
Plus no mention the brand of the bike
Kawasaki.
Rumors are saying RED and in 2025 probably one full factory team and one factory supported Honda MX2 team. Together good for probably 5 riders (2 MX2 - 2 MX2 & 1WMX)
Gatedrop says "100% Kawasaki. But maybe not green graphics" for whatever its worth.
All in all imo it is a bit strange. Late announcement, no bike brand mentioned, they have gone from 3+1 riders in MX2 in '21 to 2 full time riders the last 2 seasons to now 1 full time rider in mx2/mxgp.
Definitely on Kawasaki.
But it's possible that they have less support from Kawasaki (I'm just guessing this part) and therefore they are not giving much attention to the green bike.
That's the case: no more support from Kawasaki.

It’s hard to understand why all these new manufacturers are diving into the sport while at the same time the established ones seem to be backing away

Paturel "finally" with De Baets Yamaha for the 2024 MXGP season...
Yeah don't understand it as well, some entering the sport spending massive money on developing a bike and setting up teams and others dropping teams.

Benoit Paturel (MXGP)
Tyla van de Poel (EMX125)
Brent van de Walle (EMX125)

Short EMX125 news.
With top3 from 2023 emx125 moving up it seemed like 2024 could be year of Víťa Marek (4th in 2023).
Unfortunately he recently underwent hip corrective surgery for the likely aftermath of his broken pelvis from end of 2022.
So far he is walking on crutches so title chances are gone. Hopefully he will make some EMX125 appearances during the season.
Hope that soon we will see some Czech riders back in MXGP.
Julius Mikula is riding european rounds of MX2 (his team mate is Marcel Staufer) this year. In round 1 of italian mx he ended up 7th. It looks like he could score some fringe points but will be 22nd - 28th guy.
Uddevalla is only one line when it’s raining…..can’t remember a year it didn’t have a Swedish Rain weekend so yes, it’s one lined🇸🇪
I think Polak also re-signed with the Yamaha Germany team he did the adac races for last year, but now to also do a bunch of MXGP rounds.
Kind of insane how quick thing go, Polak was 3rd in EMX125 only 5 years ago or something like that. Now a partial campaign in mxgp.
it most definitely is...
