Alrighty then.....let's see if we have everything covered.......

Someone stirs up a perfectly good thread on a different topic by posting crap some from a team manager stroking his ego by trash talking Alessi.......check

Rocket Launcher jumps in to defend Alessi and tries to cleverly divert the hostility towards himself by smearing the comments of yet another old famous foreign MX dude........check

Pages and pages of cliché' Alessi debating and 500guy and BobbyM attacking Rocket Launcher to destroy his credibility, which they prove once again that it is not all that hard to do........check

Finally shock absorber incident arises........check

The debate on the famous BobbyM medi-vac from the practice track story arises.......check

And on page 7, we finally get the a fresh post on why Tony is a bad daddy.........check

Gentlemen, really nice work here. I see we were able to complete the entire journey from sand tracks in Europe to Tony is a bad daddy in 7 pages, we have become quite efficient at this.

You folks have a nice day!

He will be 16 next time we come to Phoenix, we can use him to attract the younger hot strippers!

(just kidding of course, I would not take my 16 year old son into a topless bar unless I was guaranteed serious hook up results for G-man and I)

How exactly is he being counter productive?

He has an actual rapport with the Alessis that isn't coming from secondhand gossip and presents his side in a courteous, honest and respectful manner. Which is more than can be said of most in this thread.

being the father of another person is one of the most dificult task one has in life, as i sayed i am a father myself, and because of it i know that the father acts towards his son as he thinks it is the sons best interest, but as i'm a son too i at this fase of my life can understand some actions of my parents and their errors because i find myself acting the same way towards my son at times........
we, fathers, define what is our son best interest from our point of view.....but sometimes that view is not really the best, sometimes our jugement is not the most apropreate for the matter.......fathers also make mistakes ..........that doesn't make any father a bad father........human beings make mistakes.....!!!!!!!
what makes me not like mikes father and think he has a bad influence on his sons career is the fact that he always finds the way to get a share of the spotlight, he is always on the videos and fotos, he is often the matter of alessi news, which are known as not very good opinions from the teams where his son raced.......many times tony as been sayed to be the font of the problem and he never steped back, never gave a chance to mike prove himself by his own........
when my sons trainer advised me to step back and miss his games cuz he would be presured and loose his nerves......i didnt like it .....i felt bad........but he was right..!!!!!!!!!!
for me a bad father is the one that can't understand that.......not the one that makes mistakes....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he always finds the way to get a share of the spotlight, he is always on the videos and fotos, he is often the matter of alessi news

TRUE - how many times do you see Villopoto's dad on video beating his chest or anybody else for that manner. It is amazing to me that Tony is almost as famous as his kids, but NOT for the right reasons!!!! What a tool.

Hey there BobbyM, you and I have had these conversations before, but I guess inquiring minds want to know......

Where were you when I was defending mike every day here and there? - Beats me, probably hanging around on another forum. I did not discover VitamMx until a couple of years ago. But if I would have been on board, I would have backed you up.

and rocket launcher...you mean well i suppose but you are actually counter productive whe yer defending mike and his pops. - Ok, if you say so.....But it sure is fun!!!! So tell me, how do you measure this counter productivity. The way I see it, when the 40,000+ MX fans show up to watch Mike race the 350 for the first time, I am guessing all my comments added up together won't really matter much and won't have much of an impact on how many people line up top get his autograph. But, if you want to think what I do here matters that much, I am ok with that.

and again, how long have you been alessi's CPA? - I have known the Alessi's for about three years now. I never said I was his CPA, I said I was one of his CPA's. And frankly, that's easier that trying to explain the business of providing financial planning and risk advice (something my firm specializes in). But honestly, Tony has become more of a friend than a client, and I value that. One of these days when you are in a less hostile mood I will tell you how we met, its an interesting story.

and do you go by a different name when practicing your trade? - Not sure what you mean by that. My name is plastered all over the place. I have a thread on this forum for my "Day to Play in the Dirt" charity event and links to my Facebook page, so I am not exactly hiding from anyone. Alessi Racing is one of my charity event sponsors by the way.

So once again, thats my story, like it or not. Now back to work on my bike hauler (trailer), its sweet!

Sorry about that, I did not mean they were all there to just see Mike, I meant they were MX fans in general and pretty much have no idea about this thread. Or GuyB would need a much bigger server.

And sorry if I sounded disrespectful to Pit. He said what he said, and I told you what Tony told me before I had any about what Pit said. That's the bottom line there. No disrespect meant. But I can certainly challenge the facts on basic logic.

If they are facts you can't challenge them... Although I think GuyB needs to lock this thread it is way off topic... the Alessi haters and Alessi supporters are turning it into a joke with their bias comments either way...

Not to ruin this thread, but Pit Beirer just confirmed on his homepage that Mike was disrespectful to the mechanics in Mantova and they took the bike away as a result. It's OK being hurt, but stop bitching over the bike when your teammate is hauling ass on it! Maybe he learns some respect over here.
Oops, I think I dropped a bomb with this one. Sorry.

Why?

It is what it is, and given the personalities here people are going to argue about Alessi (and argue about the personalities arguing) no matter what. The Alessis as a subject and the personalities here are like a match and gasoline; each combustible, and together explosive.

The alessi circus is the real joke.
I think people are very passionate good or bad about the alessi's simply because it is so frustrating to see so much talent being wasted because of a father that won't let go...

I thought the idea of a forum was to read different opinions ?

yea... but Mike is a good guy I think, and he wants to win really bad, he isn't afraid to race the GPs and is one of America's very top talents since he turned pro- he hasn't been outside the top 2 outdoors.. He doesn;t seem to get the respect for that sometimes...plus he works really hard... yet he always seems to get more critism than he deserves... he is either faultless and does nothing wrong or is the can't do anything right.

I think he tries his best but doesn't always make the best decision or go about things the right way but as far as watching him ride he always gives 100%.

Although I think alot of people throw Mike under the bus with Tony... when it isn;t really Mike;s fault all the time.

Mike is a product of his environment, not his fault he cant see how skewed his fathers views are. He only knows it to be normal because it is the norm he knows.

Why anyone would take the huge pay cut and be away from home for so long is the issue.

Yep, that's right, we met at the Knoxville, TN airport and sat on a plane to Houston together.

I had no idea who he was, but he had on Alpinestars shoes so I figured he was a MX guy.

We had talked for a couple of hours before we introduced ourselves and thats when I realized who he was. We are close in age and both parents, so we had a lot in common, in addition to our passion for the sport.

Ya just never know who you might meet on a plane these days!
