In Kenny’s interview with you, he explained he’s been battling depression and EBV. In his interview with MXA, he explained he is on a completely animal based diet which includes raw liver and raw beef heart, ala liver king. Wild.
Great interview, refreshing transparency.
(Somehow it seems like "incredible" and "honesty" don't pair well, but I have to deal with words a lot and I get the point)
Great job on this Lewis.
I wouldn't be so sure, I think Eli's answer was pretty spot-on in terms of self reflection. For him anyway, who's usually a closed book, i think you were able to crack it open a little bit. As long as the subject stays on racing he seems (to me at least) open to the more thought provoking questions.

Great job Lewis!
Ask Eli about bowhunting elk. I wanna know if he still gets to.
Huh, very interesting. Remember when Ken broke away from working with Aldon because he was hungry all the time, said Aldon wanted him to eat "Rabbit food"? Aldon is a no meat kind of guy, says in promotes inflammation. Just goes to show everybodies body is different.
Refreshing to hear a guy like kenny talk about battling with depression. Just a few years ago these guys were complete robots, its crazy how much it has changed. From the outside looking in (as someone with depression myself) you look at guys like kenny who are outgoing, public figures, who are rich, successful, married with kids…etc and think that they seem completely happy, content with life, and have it all figured out. Then you get reminded that these guys go through the same things as everybody else. Makes him much more relatable to hear him open up and I’m glad to see the riders are more willing these days to be open and honest. It sounds cliche but it really makes you think if kenny can do as well as he has while battling depression than maybe I can too.
I felt like that question made Eli uncomfortable and I don't want to do that to anyone. Maybe I overanalyzed though, haha.
Really Awesome. Thank you for what you do!!! You are easily one of the top media members in our sport.
Well said. Tomac doesn't feel comfortable with the attention or adulation. He's old school in a lot of what he does and is not a talker or excuse maker. The fame is good in some ways but It's just odd to him. He's a private guy. Pretty shy unless he knows you. He's not a snob or thinks he's the best. Quite the opposite.
I think Sexton is sort of like this but does let more people in.. Especially Lewis !!!!
Like I said...
Thank you!
I appreciate your interviews as you clearly are giving this your best effort and not just asking the same old questions. Kudos
