Ryan won in '87, not '84.

Brooks and Vohland need to move up already! Too big for those 80's.

Johnson looks like boy in that picture.

Great shots.

I love old pics that find scanners and finally see the light of day. That's some good stuff. Thanks, Scott, and thanks to your friend.

Thanks. Hollister Hills was a great place to watch motocross. Ricky Ryan used to come over to my neighbors house and ride.

Kraze, here is an even older pic of Mikey, our familys traveled to the races together for a lot of years when we were just young kids (until he moved to socal) Some really good times for sure.

The boots that kid has on are the same brand I first had back in around '77. Are those Hallmans? I keep thinking there is a Hallman logo right under those socks, the same kinda logo like I scribbled on this [url=http://204.56.209.7/misc/doodle.jpg:a5175]doodle[/url:a5175] back in school.

Early 80's...Wow, thanks O.C. I raced an '81 YZ250 for 2 years because the '82 was such a tank. The '83 250 was a sweet bike, especially with the wrench report motor work done on it.

I had an '83 YZ250K also. It was faster than the next two model year's YZ250's ,stock for stock. It would run right with my buddy's '87 CR500 until he got the Honda into 4th gear in straight line drag races. One of the best 250's ever,IMO.

Thats cool scottie! You know its weird but back then the 80cc expert race was the race to watch...many times the lap times were faster than the pro classes. Plus there was like 15 different guys that could win. The good ole days haha.

yup, I remember when Meeks, Campbell, Denis, Dickenson, Kehoe, & Blake were faster than most local Pros.
