Not that i can find, but i found the family dynamics and what drove him to success was to prove his dad wrong, pretty full on. He's certainly had his demons to exercise, emotionally and psycially, good to see that determination pay off.

I spent a little time with his parents in New Orleans last year, they are really good people.

Good find Little Dave. Ive never really known anything about Chads parents so that was interesting to listen to his mother and father speak.

That's what makes Reed's accomplishment as great as bubba's imo.. he left to race the GPs at 18... and got 2nd ... went to the US and won in his first year!

Bubba still hasn't come to race the GPs!

to do it on your own at such a young age is pretty impressive

"School really didn't mean nothin"
That's a hard one for me to swallow. As much as I love moto, it would kill me if my son felt that way.

Consider where he grew up. Probably not a whole lot of universities in the neighborhood ... looking to recruit MXrs. Kurri Kurri seems to be a small town in a very rural setting.

Very nice vid ... although I was hoping to see some early GP footage of him.

I still find it unreal that he and his girl left and raced in Europe at such a young age. Especially after reading the mags at the time and the predictions from ALL the MX Guru's on who would make it.
Only one Guy picked him to make it in Seniors, the Plumber Jay Forman who looked after Mossy this year.

Also the fact that he had a broken leg and asked a spectator to start his bike so he could finish the race. He never had the leg fixed until a week later.

His Dad is a great bloke and his Mum is one of a kind very Special Lady.

I was so happy that they got back talking again after a few bad years.

Whether you personally like Chad or not, no one can deny he Deserves All the respect in the World.

He certainly didnt "luck" into anything, nothing was given to him, he earn it it from the ground up - he even had to build his first SX track with a wheelbarrow and shovel!

Hope he comes back strong and ready, hopefully before Daytona.

His father's statement after that pretty much sums it up. He could try to make the racing work. If it didn't work, he'd come home and work the concrete business with his dad.

"Yea I am here, but I am far from making it" -First TGO video after he one that first supercross championship which he dominated.

He always knew he wanted to be a "McGrath status" kind of rider.

Chad has done so much more than most people give him credit for. But I think he is getting that respect now.
