Any chance it will come with a cast iron engine block? If they can get it up to 300lbs., it will definitely be a "must have". Just imagine how light 300lbs. of "centralized mass" would feel compared to the 250 lbs. they currently offer.
Talk about beating a dead horse.

It would be cool if a magazine or website (anyone?) took a Honda and one of the others apart and weighed components to see how Honda managed it.
thats on trip to mc donalds.
sheeeez.
but it's what 20lbs heavier then my bike. but then that would bring "strokes" into this discussion. and we can't be doing that shit.
(Psst, it's not)
Honda 237 lbs
Yamaha 248 lbs
Kawasaki 250 lbs
KTM 251 lbs
They also did a front/rear weight bias chart. Not sure how this was calculated, since it is sure to change with sag, fork tube position in the triple clamps, etc. So really not sure of the relevance but:
Honda 51%/49% front/rear
Yam & Kaw both 50/50
KTM 49.4/50.6

The 450's all weigh about the same within a pound or two except the Honda which is about 12 lbs lighter.

Power to weight ratio is what should be compared.
