Keefer's Moto Staycation

I wanted to share my experience so far while staying with the Keefer's for the West Coast rounds of Supercross. This may be a future option for someone who wants to pay for the same experience. I can't give all the details because some are not to be shared and I want some to be a surprise, but here's some highlights.

Day 1: I arrived on Dec 31st after driving from Texas to the Keefer household and Kris and Aden were in the garage working on bikes. We hung out in the garage most of the afternnoon. During this hang out time there were discussions of various topics that you would expect from Kris and plenty of ball busting. As the day winded down we went on a leisurely mtb bike ride through Honda Valley that led to Keefer giving me a Specialized MTB. (This option is not guaranteed as part of your paid package) Heather Keefer cooked tacos for dinner and we took a dip in the hot tub (Clothes are optional here). We then recorded an episode of Coffee with the Keefers and later hung out on the couch playing 'Name That Tune' waiting to ring in the new year.

Day 2: I got up early in the morning and got my Troll Training work out in Kris's private gym and shortly after finishing that Heather made breakfast for everyone. FYI, when Heather makes you a meal, she hand delivers it to you. It was then time to prep bikes for our trip to Mesquite MX where Kris had rented the track for two days. Kris's friends, Gregg and Fireman Dave, came over to load up and were making the trip with us. Kris's friends are just as much fun as Kris, btw. Great guys. We left out mid-day and headed to Vegas for dinner with Steve and Pookie Matthes at a nice restaurant where conversations about love, relationships, football, penis's, and moto were had. These are the most common topics of conversation every day with this group. After dinner we drove the rest of the way to Mesquite, Nevada, found our Air BnB and got some sleep.

Day 3 and 4 consisted of riding a lot of motos at Mesquite and tons of laughs. Matthes drove over on day 2 to rip some laps with us as well. There may or may not have been some drama on the track on day 2, but you would have to have paid the price of admission to witness it. What happens in Mesquite stays in Mesquite.

This is getting too long, so let me say that staying at the Keefer's is a hell of a good time. Ton's of funny conversations, him laughing at me (it hurts sometimes), trying to kill me in the gym, riding Glen Helen, him being stunned at Heather waiting on me, Aden trying to moon me, watching football, incredible meals, going to the Hesperia Dollar General (meth is fucked), and so much more make this Staycation worth more than I have available. Oh, Heather also set me up with one of her clients for a date. We'll see how that goes tomorrow night. Stay tuned for more.
