Shit, I thought $30.00 for what, 4 or 6 donuts was expensive. $2,000.00 a person for the Lawrence experience?
its been around $1800 for vip with star racing and a few other teams for years. Lawrence brothers decide to give more value and actually promote it for an extra $200 and every one sooks.
Judging by Dan Trumans post on Instagram post and comments there was about 20 people who did it and all looked like they had an amazing time with plenty of 1 on 1 interactions and heaps of goodies to take home.
To me.. 20 happy people had an amazing unforgettable experience with some fans they will probably keep a connection with and recognize for years to come. that alone for a super fan is priceless.
Funny to see so many comments in other threads from people who cant afford it, talk down on it. but the ones who could afford it, went and did it... loved it.

Every person at the Lawrence's get the gift box. It comes with a hunter jersey, a jett jersey. 1 or 2 mvmt watches (not sure 1 box I seen online had 1 the other had 2.) A commemorative front plate and a few other things.
2 jerseys and 2 watches would have to be worth over a grand on its own.
I don't believe you get any of that stuff at the other fan experiences.
I think things went pretty well, but maybe I'm a bit biased. Overall, the feedback I've gotten has been fantastic. Several A1 guests have purchased spots for other rounds. Just to clarify, the other VIP programs are all priced the same: Star and TLD, both at $2,000. People really enjoyed the track walk, the gift boxes, and the time spent with Jett and Hunter. Dazzy, Johnny O, Lucas, and other members of the team dropped by to hang out, have lunch, and chat with the guests. It seems like most of the negative comments and hate are coming from folks who might be either jealous or have never experienced this. We know it's impossible to please everyone, but many folks out there spend this kind of money on a sporting event ticket without getting the chance to hang out with the stars.

Its actually a good deal, the jerseys are replicas, but even at 2k for the whole deal is good compared to other sporting events,and you dont even get anything but 3-5 hrs of fun. I know guys that drop 2-4k on a sunday for a nfl day.
I can't imagine being that wealthy and wanting more dough by charging people to hang out with me. Its fuckin weird.With the tld and star it seems to be a way to raise funds. I get that. This lawrence thing is way over the top.
I think it's bad ass and wish i could afford it for my daughter. She loves them boys. Shes 8 so not quite comprehending the 2k price tag. I looked into it for Daytona since we'll be there all weekend but with the costs of camping and racing Sunday/Monday its just not in the cards.
I think if you look a bit deeper, you'll find that jealousy isn't as much of a motivator for the negative comments as you might think. I've seen many negative comments from people upset that these VIP experiences are permitted for teams and people who don't need the money from it while privateers can't sell anything at a race to make a buck.
I didn't know until a few weeks ago that these VIP experiences were even available...all these years I just assumed that everybody under each tent was somehow related to the riders or friends and family. I'm doing the track walk ($150 ea.) at San Diego with my son, and I hope it's as cool as it's advertised to be. I've been a part of the MX world my whole life and it's not a very lucrative industry to work in unless you're lucky so it's crazy to me that they charge so much because most lifelong fans can't afford it. For $2.000 I would expect to have my own butler just like rich people have in movies.
This is going to hurt some people to hear, but the only people who care about privateers are probably members on Vital. The average fan/kid wants to see Jett fuckin' Lawrence show, not 3 digit homie in a van.
I remember being 8-9 years old waiting in line for McGrath and Windham to get an autograph and not even being able to speak. Star struck, my heroes were right in front of me. I still have that experience burned into my head 25 years later. I can only imagine if I had the opportunity to be a part of an experience like this with McGrath back in the day.
F1 VIP tickets can be like 10 times this prices.

I don't think the fee charged is because the Lawrence's want "more money". If the fee was $100, the pit would be crawling with people like ants! They have to limit the amount of people, and the easiest way to do that is by charging a lot. I guess they could also have some type of lottery setup, or "first 10 people get in" then cut off system, but a high fee cuts out the riff-raff (in most cases!)
I need a better paying job.
Is that really a reason why privateers can't sell t-shirts?

Dan, it looked really well done and full whenever I walked by. The people who paid also got to do a track walk and watch the race from a suite too right?
Obviously not for everyone, but it’s a net positive to have this available for the people who want it.

Privateers can't sell swag, yet dozens of people selling crap in the parking lots to the people tailgating at the races.

I checked in on this during Friday and Saturday. Everyone their seemed to be having an awesome time. I saw the brothers with the fans AND doing their autograph lines and all their other commit’s…
Saw the people wearing their jerseys and smiling.
