If you guys remember, Cooper usually struggles west coast dirt. Then shines on the east coast. For him to be this good round one is big.

I can't figure him out sometimes. Looked slow in Paris, then he comes to A1 and he's flying. Most times never sets anything close to a fast lap in practice, and performs phenomenally in the race. One thing I know for sure, is to never count him out. He finds a way to elevate himself when it counts.

Its probably the sugar rush he gets from packing all that fudge pre race. You see his Jabba the hut photo during the race? MFr face wider than JLOs ass.

I feel like there is more to "looking fit." Sure you can look thin, but are you really in "shape?"

No one has beaten Jett when it matters. Do they give trophies for heat race wins?

Webb looked great. As good as he's ever looked to me. What's the fantasy scenario we're making up about him catching Jett in the main though? He couldn't get around Ando but he was going to win the race?

He was definitely using different lines than Jason.

And was quicker in some sections.

Jason did a great job staying in front of him.

Both raced each other very well.

Damn that was fun to watch.

Agreed.

They were racing for 2nd place.

It was obvious Jett was just pacing the field.

He even said so in the presss conference.

Ah no.  Not against Jett who just went 22 - 0.  Not to mention Sexton, Ferrandis, and Roczen and Eli if they race.

For all the Webb nuts who said he wasn't fat in the pre-season, Nicoletti told Mathes Webb lost 15 pounds in the last couple of months.

I don't think Jett is concerned.  Jett Lawrence is in an entirely different league than Cooper Webb.

Yeah, that's how Jett rolls. Just enough to win.

Sucks road-block was in the way.  Would've loved to see Coop get a shot at Jett.

It would have been great if Webb did get around Anderson to contrast Webb's late race charges/passes to the margin that Jett is said to hold back until he needs it. Would Webb get close only to have Jett turn it up? Or was Jett really close to 100% and Webb would reel him in?

Seriously?    I'm a fan of Webb, no doubt.     ...but to label me like that, not even close.

Whatever man.

He wasn't fat from being lazy, he had a thyroid issue as I mentioned back in November.  People doubted me but it sounds like Webb just finally broke the news of his thyroid issue in his interview yesterday.

Then why did he get passed and crash trying to beat Webb in the heat?

Because it's a heat, doesn't matter, why do all you people worry about a heat, what happen in the final is what matters....

Dude passed and beat Jett in the heat.  Was within a few seconds of Jett 3/4 of the way through the main while battling and eating roost.  He looked good, and you know he would have been a dog the last couple laps.  That jump was odd, thrasher and one other had identical crashes on it.   Didn't look like he was over riding at all.  Just a slight mistake  on the smallest jump on the track.

Yes, i agree! Wall jumps are just stupid. I dont race these days, but they didnt have wall jumps in the 90's anywhere that i remember. Last summer when i went to a few tracks for open practice, I met the wall jump. Just a useless pile of dirt, sitting there waiting to cripple a rider. No benefit to the action whatsoever.

I like it. Adds diversity to track obstacles.

Interesting take. All the pro’s that crashed on it shows just how tricky and a great obstacle it is in my opinion
