Looks like a dislocated ankle? All the rubber bands in there stretched out or ruptured I would assume. Broken bone(s) probably. That's rough no doubt.

Lets hope its not as bad as it looks. Nevermind getting back on the bike, for some of these injuries I hope these guys will be able to walk somewhat normally because life is long and there's so much to do still.  Wishing logan all the best and a full recovery. 

I've had both of my ankles majorly dislocated, mid foot dislocations at the same time it happened, with many broken and shattered bones in both ankles and feet (two different crashes - one right, one left). Both resulted in ankle fusions, multiple surgeries, more fusions in my feet, and I'm still looking at getting a cuboid fusion on the left side (already done on the right along with others). 

Anyway that's my long winded way of saying ouch, I feel that and wish him the best. Interested to see what the bone damage is when he updates. 

Damn. Reminds me of Langston after Alessi hit him at Hangtown I think. Absolutely gruesome.

Damn! Crazy how the memory can play tricks on you. I remembered it very differently than that.

Broke my tibula and fibula just above my ankle back in '95.  Crashed my '93 gixxer 1100. My left foot looked just like his knee forward foot pointing 90 degrees left.  That sucked.  2 plates 14 screws and took me 13 months total to heal.  First surgery bones never healed properly and it rebroke after I had one of the plates removed    Third surgery had a bone graft and that finally took.
I hope he has a speedy recovery and can make it back for outdoors.
