I find it funny how the media has consistently down played his potential. They’re all so scared to admit that he’s the favorite every time he lines up no matter what now. The imaginary justification for their reasons why he won’t win is making them lose credibility every weekend.
He got passed and beat in his heat. Not saying he wasn't the best today or won't win the title but perfect season isn't happening

He’ll definitely be the guy to beat but Coop had his number in the heat race. He can beat him. I think Jason, Kenny & Tomac can too. A1 is always a crazy race & it’s a long season.

I agree only if you say the social* media. A lot of fans for their own sake need to just breathe and accept it for what it is. As for the coverage they do talk him up a lot but remember they have a sport and a package to sell.

In the 50 year history of Supercross the winner of the opening round who went on to win the championship has been done 17 times by a total of 12 riders. And of those 17 times only one rookie managed to do it. Bob Hannah in 1977, and if you want to include the inaugural season, Pierre Karsmakers in 1974.
Only 3 riders have managed to accomplish the feat more than once (RV 2x, Reed 2x, MC 4x).

In the heat race when he wanted to pass coop, you could just see the gap disappear, had he not made that mistake, he'd have blown by. This season will shape up nicely. While they were probably "racing incidents" can you imagine the race with KR and MS not going down? KR was on it tonight also. Why does the drama always surround certain riders?
