We are making another trip from Texas to the west coast for A1. I’ve been to GH and Pala and we are going to Cahuilla. Any other places we might go? Doesn’t have to be full Moto but that’s what we normally ride. We are stay in Temecula, and didn’t know if there are any “most ride” places within an hour or so from there. Or just hit the same places again?

Perris is fun. LACR is close by. Barona Oaks is close by and chill.
I would hit Perris Raceway since you’ve already done Pala and GH. LACR is awesome, but it’s got to be at least 2 hours from Temecula.
Barona Oaks is a great place to visit also. Honestly, Elsinore would be not far and surprisingly better than you might expect.
What days? Not all tracks are open everyday?
Sounds like a lot of people are riding cahuilla the wednesday before A1. Perris is open on Fridays so those 2 would be solid! Maybe make the drive to LACR or Barona Sunday, especially with the earlier start time Saturday!
I also wouldn’t rule out riding Glen Helen again. They change the track a lot & any day you go could be a whole new experience! Today was way different than normal just due to the rain received last night! Track was sick

Rode Elsinore Wednesday, gotta say it was pretty dam fun.
You Cali boys live the dream
Might be the only option if it rains. Go during the week if you go, and my advice is stay east of pole line road. The main parts of Ocotillo Wells are beat to absolute dog shit from the 4 wheeled vehicles that have taken over there. Avoid it altogether on weekends.
A lot of people are jealous of SoCal. But as far as dirt goes, give me East Texas.
Lol...I started racing in East Texas wayyy back. Longview was my favorite. Sand with a gillion tons of pine sawdust dumped on top. Marshall was dusty concrete. Paris (starting to get too far west to really be "east" Texas) was a good layout but needed a lot of water.
Remember... this was early '70's so "prep" meant some snow fence, tires, and hay bales...maybe some water. I don't ever remember them touching the track surface... ever.
None of those tracks are around anymore 😔. But we have over 10 tracks in the area. We forget how good we actually have it here sometimes because we have so many choices.
