I am sure the anti Lawrence guys would be against this, but it is cool Feld is offering more access to fans willing to spend the cash. What are your thoughts on the pricing and details? The cost seems very high to me for what you receive, but with Dan Truman running it I imagine it would be good?

Not exactly the same topic Mav. I wasn't debating if Privateers could do this, but focused on the details of the Lawrence program
TLD, Star, Lawrence's, and other packages are available.

Yep.....but with a separate semi and lounge area dedicated to the experience? This is going to be a much larger presence than hanging around the truck for some of the day and a track walk, especially for kids. We did the VIP experience several years ago with JT and it was great, but mainly just hanging out at the team truck and walking around with him for the day. It also was not $2K a ticket

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Yeah, for the same 2k I would rather pick the Lawrence package over the other two teams.
$2,000 to be a cheerleader for a day?
My comment is not Lawrence Bros specific.
This kind of big money crap ruins sports and eventually pushes the little people out.
Example: Went to the Long Beach Gran Prix about 15 years ago. Everything was expensive package deals. It's not that we couldn't afford it, we just wanted to watch the racing without all the hospitality crap and walk around to various locations.
A fool and their money....something something something.....
If you can afford it, and you want to do it, go for it. Looks fun.
Life sucks being poor...
Gosh...i sure hope this distraction doesn't interfere with Dan Trumans abilities to pick a proper Pulpfantasy team
I was saving money so an i could pay to go down to the bottom of the ocean to see the Titanic. That wish has imploded on me. My next dream was a guided tour of Mt Everest, but I heard its a bit chilly at the top of the world.
This Lawrence voyeurism extravaganza just might be the ticket! Let the kids at the orphanage know i wont be making a contribution this winter please.
There is always people with money. I think that if JS had done that back in the day, people would be all over him.
Yes, the price tag is high, but so are race gas and factory edition bikes that all you VET riders love to buy.
You get used to it. One Christmas when I was about 10... I got a pair of overalls with the pockets cut out. My grandpa said it was something to wear AND play with.
WTF? $750…$2,000??
Hard pass.
I’m not anti-Lawrence. I’m just anti-ignorant.
Sorry Mav....that announcement is just full of cringe. Doesn't matter what rider is doing it. "Access to us". Puke....
"Inspired by the hospitality benchmarks set in other sports" - This is exactly what I've been talking about.
It's all about the $$$$$....not the fans.
In MXA this month...there's a great interview on Pasha Afshar....A guy who gives hundreds of thousands of his own money to promote racing and people. I have so much respect for that guy. One of the lines from the interview.
"The people who run the sport and profit from it are squeezing it to death with crazy prices"
I think if the proceeds were donated to a good cause then, the idea of it isn’t so bad.
By good cause I mean along the lines of, Wounded Warrior Project or, something similar.
Pit Row
Seems like this could be a major distraction for a racer. Let's see how this goes after they start getting beat every weekend.
It's not enough to be great at something anymore - be it racing, music or whatever - you have to now glad-hand your fans like some kind of small town mayor.
Introverts beware.
2k buys hella KTM anodized parts Bro….I can see this being cool for a super fan of these guys, if you got the cash, it’s your deal….everything now is VIP, private riding compounds, factory, bla bla bla….one of the great things about Mx was the accessibility for the common working man…
First thing I thought of. I'd be wanting to concentrate on the race if I'm one of these pros. Maybe I'm having an off night. I gotta put on a fake smile or else it will get out I'm an entitled smug pro?
Your last sentence takes me way back. Back to when my grandfather would scrape to save up a little extra cash so we could go to the races when I was little.
Spot on.
The VIP viewing sections at Nationals that block off chunks of the track are the ones that get me.
I’m sure the mechanics and truck driver love having random fans lingering around lol
If this removes the ability for the common fan to get an autograph/pic with them like normal, then that is definitely a very bad move.
But if that remains unchanged, then it shouldn't be an issue to of us if someone wants to spend their own money for that experience. It's not my cup of tea but could be to a super fan of the brothers.
Getting to do track walk and have good food that you didn't have to get at the snack bar for $700 is worth it in my opinion.
Seriously?
Bottle of Cristal and, lobster tails 🙌🏼
Yes, have you seen parking/ticket/food prices at A1?
