I tried searching for some of the topics on there but they're missing. One of the admins could easily look it up on the backend, but its kinda fun to place detective.

Pretty funny seeing those old dirtbunny posts. Anyone know what ever happened to her?

I’ve been on Motodrive/Vital since about 2003 with the same username the whole time.

Mototalk back in the day was awesome.

All the Steve Cox (Wordnerd) battles with people.

Seatbounce engineering.

I sponsored the RacerX Gascard at ATL SX and got to experience the VIP treatment and sat in the press booth for the race.

Had beers with 500guy and MMITopTech, among others, at the 2007 MXDN at Budds.

Good times.

I joined sometime in early 2004 at 15 years old, #69 on the front plate only of my 96 CR125 in the 125D class. My first post was something along the lines of "golly gee dirt bikes are cool, what do you guys think about Travis Pastrana? I think he's just great!", so you can imagine how that went.

Been trying to use the Search feature here but due to no filters it ain't much help.

I only caught the tail end of the Guy B era and also dipped in once before prior to this username, but it's amusing how many of the people who got clipped seem to be pretty sound, add some decent info and most  importantly are back and are still here now (so clearly they're genuine, long time riders and/or fans of the sport).

Dude had some kind of power trip... Hope he's cheered up a bit and is doing good now.

Anyway, cool idea for a thread man 👍

Get over yourselves.  Gibby is one of the coolest people in moto.  He was full of it with people who were full of shit thinking they themselves were important enough here that they set the rules and made this place.

Never had anything against Gibby and it was always nice to grab a quick chat with him at the Outdoors.

I understand why I was clicked and I moved on with zero I'll feelings towards him.

FFS.... Based on what i've seen in my "short time" here (since 2018), your style of posting is not anything that would warrant a click.       That dude was out of control with the bans.  So glad that era is passed.

Yeah you joined after gibby had been dealing with dumbasses posting stupid shit for 14 years already. He got irritated in the later years but I would never want to be the one to have to moderate the shit that gets posted here.

I started lurking in 2011 and can say that vitards always existed but the number of shitposts and brain dead trolls has only gotten worse over the years.

Admit I was more of a regular on MotoTalk.

Glad I was though! Team BooKoo (I believe was owned by @Holigan (Michael) who posts here) was giving away a complete A Kit suspension set to the forum member who most closely picked the top 5 finishers at A1 and I got lucky and won.  Suspension was for a Honda and I owned an RM250, so wasn't certain what I was going to do with it.  A privateer who was racing A3 messaged me on the board and offered to buy it from me at good price and I agreed.  Told him I was planning on going to A3 so I'd be picking the suspension up from Bookoo at that race.

At A3 , went over to the Bookoo pits and was shown around their semi and picked up the suspension.  Then met the privateer guy and he let me know that the guy with the money was in the stadium and would meet us.  Turned out the guy was Josh Grant's dad and the Grant's were good friends with the privateer.  Mr. Grant pulled out a massive roll of 100's and peeled my money off of it and that hardly put a dent in the roll Smile .  I ended up using that money to pay off most of new YZ450F that year (2006) and also bought a new YZ250 with my own funds.  I tried to get used to the 4 stroke and after putting about 15 hours on it, I gave up and sold it to a friend. By that time, I had pretty close to zero hours on the YZ250, got back on it and from that point I knew I preferred 2 strokes.  Still have that YZ250 but I do now prefer my FC350.   So, guess you could say Mototalk paved the way for me checking out my 1st 4 stroker.

He started posting here again earlier this year. I think he's TOE 2.0 or something like that.

Yeah, mostly non-moto now. Strobegate should be in the moto message board hall of fame.

Was wondering about some of the old crew the other day for whatever reason. Not the infamous ones, people like Bhawkce, Thunderchicken, the old Prescott crew, people like that. Some of the more regular folk types than the professional board trolls.

Lost boy brought up a thread about 10 yr old posts...Im curious to see the roots of this Forum.

Anyone?

it was still motodrive when it started, pretty sure GuyB had a crash or system reset and all the early stuff is not on the net. most of the OG's had a joined date around 1999-2001 and since the reset most of the joined dates are 2007?

I joined in 07 but was never on Motodrive. On my 3rd account now due to getting thrown on the guillotine for crossing the threshold.

There are some good dudes who no longer post now and are missed.

Still find it hard with OC being no longer with us. Never will we forget.

Nothing to get over, not like anyone trashed the guy or called him a cunt, just a lot of people who got the boot saying exactly that

I even said I hope he's doing good... poor guy, such an enslaught 😂
