I'd say as a complete guesstimate based on my expertise, he looked about 80%. Speed was there but didn't look like he could get aggressive. I'd say two more races he should be back to full bore.

Bobby...he was shorting out on combo jumps and all over the map through the whoops. He started with triple-triples that turned into double-double-doubles.

That was far from the guy we watched at the end of last SX season.

I thought he looked a bit reserved, not attacking the track. Still fast enough for 3rd, with no riding since last race. Scary.

How about the one lap in the whoops where he wheelied in then was on the binders for the last 1/2 of the section? Nice save there.

looked to me as if he may of had an attack of the irritable bowel syndromes and maybe his bike wasn't all that good, but I have no idea.

He switched to doubles because he wasn't making time on hill- He was the only guy doing that tripple but it seemed faster to stay low- at least when Hill was next to him- SHoot hill almost made a pass on him early in the race while he was doing it in the corner after that section-- He def- faded or slowed at the end of the race- but I would say he was Hauling just fine for the first half-

Could be his bike is set up so hard that is a little uncomfortable and unforgiving if not going at his usual warp crazy balls speed...

Quoted on the post supercross live show while I was on the phone with them..

"James is his own worst enemy"motogeek

You can easily summarize his career by this..Until he realizes this, he will never consistently win and fastest rider in racing does mean sheeiiiiitt. Maybe if their was dirtbike drag racing. Sorry James, but it's true. Kinda of a Jedi mind trick, but you need to realize this and then things will turn around..

Damn, you guys have more excuses for him, he is getting beat get used to it!

That was not the James Stewart we are used to seeing!! Since when has he been the guy to get passed in a jump section, or not be the most aggressive. Dungey and Hill rode really well and nothing can take that away.

I disagree, he almost looked relaxed with a bit slower reaction times, reckon he took some pain pills?

Maybe it is the same Stewart were just not used to seeing other bikes around him.... He looked quite normal to me when he tried to Pinn it back past Hill in those whoops

hill looked good but could use some work in the corners, it was pretty evident dungey was making alot of time in them and stewart kind of held josh up a bit and dungey capitalized on that too. kind of looked like hill knew he had nothing left in the tank once ryan got by him but they all rode great. its nice to see hill on the podium like he has been

Dear Bobby,
Were we watching the same race?
Cause to me, JS1 wasn't 100%.
You had to be blind to not realize that.
Nothing against RD & J-Hill, but they were
racing hard against a guy that was racing them,
true, but at a controlled & careful pace.
Even on the box for his chat after, the pain was clear.
Again, you could see it, plain as day!
They need to enjoy his bum luck while they can!

JS looked tight. His he seemed to be holding his upper body rigid. Very stiff looking compared to his normal style.

If it is the time I saw he saved it by grabbing a handful of throttle.

I would say more than anything he has lost his confidence and seemed deflated when they interviewed him... I know how James normally is and by no means is that a dig either, just what I saw and read the situation as.

Losing confidence at the level and speed James rides at can be hazardous to his health....hope he gets it back....
