Crazy if true. A replacement AER set is 3200. And replacement explor set is 2500.

My buddies that have bikes with these new forks can't say enough about how good they are, if you can buy them for $1,500 it seems like it'll pretty much kill the sales of 6500s etc.

I was thinking the same thing. If the forks can be setup as good as the 6500s I’d much rather sell my Xact forks and get complete new forks

Call Solid Performance in PA, a WP distributor in your area.   484-593-0095.  They can tell you exactly what will and won't work and can sell more individual parts than KTM shows on their fiche.

Called Brandon from Solid performance and he was one step ahead of the game having ordered a bunch of forks already.   He got me hooked up with the EX350F forks because they came with the heavier 4.6 springs.  $1500 is the price for the forks.  I’ll send my shock in to get revalved when the forks show up.

Any updates?   Anyone tried these forks for MX yet?

The MSRP went to $2200 on the OEM spring fork. WP is offering a 6500 fork for Black Friday for the 6500 insert price. The ad says good through 2 Dec. https://www.wp-suspension.com/news/black-friday-race-ready-bundle-deal/

I doubt that includes a revalve but the stock 6500 should be valved for 4 stroke MX.

Offer appears to be Europe only.   Any info if US WP dealers are also participating?

My bad I didn't see that. It might be worth contacting an EU WP dealer to see what it would cost, but they might have an agreement not to ship to the US.

It's the greatest irony,  that black friday sale as part of USA specific holiday isn't available in USA

Build quality is a bit better on the 6500 kit but the 24 cartridge has a superior MV design. They copied the KYB MV and improved the HDeck portion on the intake side of the MV. This fork is really good.

Just for clarification. The new 24 CC Xact fork set retails for $2295. There was a glitch in the matrix, so if you got a set you got lucky. For the guys wanting to run these forks on their moto bikes they come at the 940mm OA length. 10mm shorter than the Xact air fork.

10mm shorter and the price just reset to reality about $1K more than 6500's....  option not as enticing anymore.

Track was on the muddy side but got some initial testing done with the new forks.  Definitely feels like an improvement over the aer.  I ran them on the first line about 2mm up in the clamps.  Sag was in the 106 range.  Hopefully next week the track is dryer and I can test them at a faster pace.IMG 2266

Xplor forks are horrendous for MX even when valved for MX. Modernized fucking 4CS but worse at higher speed..

Separate function forks just ain’t it.

The cc forks don’t seem any shorter on the bike so they must ride at about the same spot as the air.
