Wouldn't be surprised to see Ducati do some kind of Red/Green combination, maybe a touch of white here and there to hit all three colors of the Italian flag
Beta and KTM have zero ties to each other
Might wanna do some actual research there Bud. Beta used to buy KTM engines and clearly their frames. Might be different now, but the motor and frame is unchanged for years. Here I'll help you:
“Might wanna do some actual research” and you pull an almost 20 year old quote.. Yamaha clutches are exactly like ktm clutches, should we say ktm owns them too? Beta 450 frame is new but you’re the dirt bike authority. You and that idiot they said who wouldn’t buy the bike because the front brake should meet on Wednesdays 🤡

That’s hot.
He is correct. Beta and KTM have a long history of sharing and or developing parts for each other. My KTM mini bikes (i think 65) had at least one or two Beta stamped parts (I'm thinking rear brake cylinder and something else). And then Beta used KTM engines to build their off road brand until 2010 or so (engines remain very similar to KTM). There is a lot of overlap on Beta bikes, parts that are not exactly KTM parts but very close clones.
And the current Beta frame is a rough clone of the previous gen KTM frames 2019-22 (this is widely accepted).
“might be different now”
It is completely different now. The two companies have nothing to do with each other.
OMG not another one of these fools. Always offended at everything, making the childish remarks (in Bill Burr sarcastic voice) "well they all look the same so then they all must be tied together too right?". Your spouting ignorant baseless claims making zero points. Whereas I had provided actual evidence. They DID work together and its not too far-fetched to believe they took the KTM engine they've been using for 5 years, carbon copy it, make it "in house" and call it their own. Try again Gen Z, nice name, says a lot.
I was quoted 12,300 otd on one in case anyone is wondering the pricing
That's outrageous. Good way to kill the sport more rapidly, keep raising prices when the bikes don't even change that much anymore.
How the heck is it a KTM engine? The two are almost nothing alike. When was the last time KTM had a DOHC 450 with separate engine and transmission oil?
The shared engine was the ancient RFS. Beta has had their own design for 13 years now.
Is Kawasaki still a Suzuki because of what happened 20 years ago?
I'm not sure I would go that far. They Beta uses a lot of OG ktm parts (i.e. Domino throttle.)
There's also clearly a lot of influence from KTM in the engine, chassis, and frame. Yes its made in its own factory now, but I would think about this relationship similar to the Kawasaki/Suzuki relationship of the 2000's. Yes they have separated completely but still that history of sharing parts/production
Seems on par with Austrian brands doesn't it?
The dealer I was in on Saturday had some special edition 300 KTM that was like $14k or some shit. Funny thing is, some hard enduro nerd is gonna buy that thing and just go trash it trying to pretend they are Graham Jarvis.
Where’s the KTM engine influence?
There’s only so many ways to skin a cat.. most aluminum frame bikes have similarities because there’s not much you can do to go widely outside the box. There’s definitely similarities but this guy was claiming they’re carbon copies and that’s just clearly not the case
Almost 20 year old evidence but sure ride your high horse into the sunset sweetheart. I’m not offended I just actually have inside knowledge, not google information.
Okay boomer last one; You worked at Beta or KTM before? Because if you didn't, apparently you can't bring any info to the table on this subject, based on your "I have inside knowledge" jab.
Beta began production of their own version of KTM engines in 2010. These engines were DOHC and shared a lot of genetics with KTM LC4 engines i.e. KTM 525 exc

Not that far off as far as todays prices go. MSRP is 11k. Tax, destination, assembly and documentation 1300. I bet most dealers will be around the same. I’d guess a grand less than a KTM or Husky out the door for a 2024.
That’s not even close.
Here’s an LC4
And here’s the Beta engine

Link to the article of Beta's first ever in-house engine 2010. First model Based KTM RFS engine, designed to be more compact. The engines were never as powerful as the KTM, to this day they are not. But the current engine to this day still shares some lineage to the older KTM RFS
Rfs not lc4. My bad
Show me the similarities.

See post above. Please point out the influence.
They definitely updated the head and cams. But thats really where it comes from
Are you talking about the 15 year old versions of each brand you just posted or the new ones?
You guys are talking in such fucking circles trying to prove your point that I can't keep up.
Yes Beta used RFS engines up until 13 years ago. What’s your point? We’re discussing the 2024 450RX.
Show me how the 450RX engine is similar to the RFS.
Definitely not Beta’s first in house motor, just their first modern 4t dirt bike motor.
Yes they used KTM RFS motors before 2010. However the chassis was and still is 100% Beta. Anyone who has ridden both or looked at more than pictures can see it.
Also older generation KTM 65 & 50 motors are Beta. So it was a trade of sorts.
They used to work together, however that was a number of years ago, now they are just competitors who happen to build their bikes with steel frames and use some of the same vendors. Just like the Japanese bikes share vendors.
