Rich just posted on Facebook that they pulled guys out of Phoenix early and worked through the night (s) to get the Anaheim track built and covered.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering. Looking at the temps, nothing wet is going to dry much this week!

They also loaded out at Phoenix as fast as possible, and drove overnight to get there in the morning. Good plan. By the time I got home Sunday night, it was already raining.

They had to haul dirt back in after the Monster Trucks, and start building again. I know those guys are fast. Watching at the U.S. Open when they do the track reconfiguration overnight, it's pretty amazing to watch. Dirt artisans.

Oh, and we're slated for at least three storms this week. Sunday/Monday, Tuesday, and the biggest one is supposed to be into Wednesday/Thursday. They're talking some crazy rain amounts for that one.

The weather has been really weird over the past few years. It seems like A1 , 2 or 3 is always muddy , year after year. Hopefully the weather holds out.

yeah last year at a3 was a semi-mud race. Slick and rutted as I remember.

No amount of tarps and prep will save the dirt from the rain we are "supposed" to get in the area.

My shop is about 5 minutes from the Big A and its been coming down enough just today to ruin a SX track. If it keep up I wonder if they will radically change the track layout. Make it like an indoor MX. Put one or 2 huge mounds of dirt in for hills and just let them swap around in the mud and ruts. haha

This is from Racer X on twitter about 2 hours ago "Just got word that the Anaheim 2 track is already built and under a tarp. If rain comes this week, Dirt Wurx is ready."

I'm about 2 miles down the road from the stadium, and it's pouring right now. Hopefully it will clear up by Friday.

These stadiums are built with drainage systems. I would guess they will be fine unless it rains the day of or during the race.

No prolly would not rain but snow is more of a possibility!!, if not sub freezing temps. They build a nearly billion dollar stadium on the east coast and don't put a roof on it, what a waste....IDIOTS

It would seem, to me, that there isn't much that slows JS7.

Well, other than a Sandy Vagina...(Answer to another thread).

Yeah, and the annoying thing about Seattle is the fact that Safeco Field, which is right across the street from Qwest Field, has a retractable roof.

Mud sx races don't play well on tv.

My own humble opinion, but drop one Anaheim and give another round to the Georgia dome.
