Ok, I can be an ass occasionally regarding promoters (yup no such a great intro), and it is the off season so everyone is bored, but come on guys, we have 13 big manufacturers now and soon 10 in AMA SX pro racing ! + Jett + Deegan + Roczen big followings + the MXGP champs willing to give it a try. This is an incredible time we didn't get ever, or maybe like 40-50 years ago where unicorns like Maico, Bultaco, ATK or Cannondale were there, or Leisk, JMB, Albee, etc.

Soon on a local track you will get to spin a lap from your buddies on a ...

Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki

KTM, Gas Gas, Husky, Triumph

Stark, Ducati, Beta, TM, Sherco

Bonus track: YCF, Suron, etc.

Pick one. Honeslty that is a first in mx history, so thanks to the people behind it and working their ass off as it elevates the sport, it makes it more exciting and it give more jobs to the industry. Kuddos.

What exactly is the incredible moment? What happened that hasn't happened over the last 50 years other than a rookie winning every moto in AMA MX? 2 other guys won 24 motos in fields that weren't depleted of most factory riders,  but they werent rookies to the class. There are some new manufacturers allegedly going to produce and race some motocross bikes someday, maybe next year even, we still can't go look at the bikes at a dealership though so who knows. Should mx riders/fans cherish the fact that Haiden Deegan has 6 or 9 million followers or subscribers on YouTube,  idunno, there's been alot of riders in the past that had alot of fans, he does have quite the following for today though so maybe he could cherish that fact.  Is riding/racing more accessible and affordable now? Bikes today are much better than they were 20, 35, or 50 years ago but does a 28 year old guy that rides regularly get more enjoyment out of it now than a 28 year old did 35 years ago, I can't say positively but I'd guess not.

There's at least a much of a spec gap between the Fantic and Yam as GasGas/Husky from KTM

I'm just happy we got to see that Triumph frame. Then the engine a couple months later, that was just icing on the cake.

Oh yeah, sorry ! My best friend is actually on a 250 Fantic (a yzf with quite a lot of bling), and more bling he added from his former yzf Smile Very nice value.

I think it is the combo. There is a bit of great of every decade. As many manufacturers and I would even say accessibility (as 10 or 20 years old bikes are still good) as in the 80s, some colors and characters from the 90s, some fame like Pastrana/McGrath, more money, foreigners and some perfect seasons like in the 2000s, and some great racing that we can easily watch like in the 2010s.

But I also agree, not everything is perfect, I have also been very critical on some parts. Money can be better distributed (purse etc; so far only smx, wsx and Paris supercross are making a real effort). Gear should continue to evolve for more safety (vs. just performance). Most local tracks should be tamed a lot, it is too easy to do big jumps with not much technique (I think amateur tracks should have limits for homologation, i.e. no more than 18/20 meters long/3 meters high ... which is already plenty enough if you OTB ... while now kids on 65 jump bigger than that). I also think local dealers should team up to open or keep more tracks, and that it should be possible to rent for cheap entry level bikes (50 and 125) to get to ride for half an hour without spending a fortune (I started in a club like that, a driving school that was renting pws, qr, etc, and many kids started that way back in the 80s). So yup, there is still a bit of room for improvement but honestly it is also a very exciting time ! Smile

Not necessarily. The offroad scene (especially in Europe) has had a lot of brands for a long time and they all have co-existed nicely.

Everything ends eventually, but this is a great time for moto, enjoy it while it’s here!

Ducati will hit the 15k or more for production motocross bike. There saying you won't be able to upgrade. It's like 1977 allover.  Gonna have more factory rides. Can't wait.

Closest it's ever been to the 70s
