I’d like to say Australia are favourites but just not sure on where to place Ferris against the others.  Hard to see Jett going anything other than 1-1 or 1-2/2-1.  A top 5 and top 10 from Hunter would put us on around 15-18 points.  A top ten moto from Dean would definitely put us in contention.

I definitely wouldn't consider it 'craziness' that Ferris is Plessinger pace..

I'm never gonna be silly enough to put bets on a mx race but I will be very surprised if they don't find each other a lot on the weekend

Classy message from Spain's David Braceras, who had to give his place up due to injury. This isn't just an ordinary race...

What are you basing this off? When is the last time you watched ferris race?

He retired in 2021 and is now 33...  When was the last time he raced at the top level of motocross.  Against guys of the caliber of a top 3 AMA outdoor rider?  He struggled to get top 10's in 2019.

However, I accept that anything can happen at MXoN...  Anstie going 1-1 for example.  That's why it's the best event of the year.

How is this thread getting so little action with only a few days left to go?

Lets get some more predictions and "analysis" out here!  lol

I was gonna leave this alone cause your post was a while ago and I assume I'm not gonna change your mind haha and that's cool, but he did retire (for a couple of different reasons) but this year it's been said he is in almost career best form maybe best form (kinda like Tomac finding his best form late)

I don't really know what the level of a top 3 AMA rider from this year is and I mean exactly that I don't know.. Cause those 'other' guys got fairly hosed this year and I don't know if that's cause Jett and Chase are so much better than EVERYONE else or if the 'other' guys are just a tick off (probably both)

In 2019 he was on THAT factory Yamaha before Star got involved and you'll remember that Barcia was struggling for results on that bike too..

As I said I fully expect Dean to be running with AP in lap times in the quali and in the motos! And it won't be because 'anything can happen' or 'craziness'

I will 100% agree with your last statement

I don't think they'll win, but I haven't seen Switzerland mentioned anywhere and with a bit of good riding on their part, I think they are an outside shot at the podium...

Seewer can win motos and will be a threat in MXGP class
Tonus is one of the few guys 'stepping down' to a 250 (most nations have weaker 250 riders),that Yamaha is a good 250 and he's vastly experienced and Ernee is a good track for him
Guillod has been riding really well recently and this is another perfect track for him. He has been getting good starts, and if he can just cutout those small mistakes, he can challenge near the top 5

And Who The Fugg is going to Pay For It?

I Always put that question up to those wanting GPs / MXdNs here in OZ, or Un Zud.

It costs Millions to put on. At least a Million + to that Prick Luongo / whatever company he has whored out the sport to through himself, then a Million at the very least for the rest of the event.

Hell, you might remember the proposal for an MXdN at a bloody Trotting Track in Perth, besides the Swan River that a promoter was spruiking at the Matterley Basin MXdN.

Something like that would Ruin Australian MX, and bring ridicule towards the entire sport here.

I'd love it to be here, I went to Manijimup in '92, the GPs in Vic in 2000 and 2001, a Trials GP in Vic, and both our Six Days and the Un Zud ISDE. Speedway GPs, and MotoGPs and WSBKs x a sh**load. I'm always up for spending money to travel to major events here in OZ. Then there's OS races....

Someone has to stump up the money for it - there's no 'right' to have it, and, it Has to make some money, other than what is made by the Luongos / Infront.

Heck yeah! Best team we've had in a long time! Last year was good as well as Brumann was on form but Guillod didn't have a great day at Redbud. Tonus isn't really retired anymore. He's been riding really good in the Swiss nationals. His GP appearance was solid also. The track should suit all 3 riders. Guillod is a great starter.

Winning is a long shot but anything outside the top 5 is a disappointment this year.

Apparently, it's not popular to post a picture of an American flag these days, but I'll be standing behind USA all the way.  I'm pretty proud of the guys who decided to step up to the plate and give it a go, and that deserves some respect.

According to who? We should never feel ashamed of the Stars and Stripes. Those who don't like it are either jealous or twisted imho Smile

1 France

2 Belgium

3 Spain or The Netherlands

I really think Hunter is going to fuck it up for Australia. Belgium has a really strong team in my opinion They all have won moto's or gp's and we have already seen what Geerts can do on a 450. They just need to stay on 2 wheels.

France is just different. They are on there homesoil and always determined to get their flag on top off the podium.

Sure seems like it at times...

Team USA is going as a notable underdawg this year, but you watch... If they don't make the podium, it will be an anti USA trash fest on MX social media for weeks.

Sad that people can't respect the guys that go, regardless of who they are or where they are from.

Short video of Team Canada practicing yesterday. France had the track in the morning, and then the club watered the track before our guys got on it.

Glad they are keeping the big step up jump down toward the bottom of the track, that is a cool feature, weather is looking great also.  Paul Malin might even call it "hot", (80 on Sunday).  lol

I mean it is hot considering it is october, but I'm pumped. Finally no frikkin rain, it's been a long time! When was the last time the MXON had no rain? Must have been 2016 or
