Speaking of soccer. I played when I was a kid and we once went to a tournament in Bremerton Wa in i think 1985. The field was dirt! No grass! Us drysiders all shook our heads and figured the region was too wet to grow a proper grass field. Herbicide waste site?
Perhaps the wetsiders heard we were coming and conspired to rig the game by having all the sod stripped?

Used to be that way out at Marymoor, end of 520 in Redmond. The grass would actually grow pretty good for a few weeks in the early summer and it was pretty hardy, too, but as soon as it started raining 3 out of every 4 days in October it was back to being just dirt at best, and a mudfest most of the time. Now they have really nice artificial turf nearly everywhere.
Maybe because it's become even douchier than Manhattan?
So what time am I supposed to become a brainless zombie again? I don't want to start anything big this morning, if I'm just going to get interrupted with the inescapable need to feast on brains later on.

On an unrelated note, I'm pretty sure I've had a migraine building all morning and it's ramping up. So either way, it looks like I've got a pretty fantastic day to look forward to, whether I get mind controlled or not.
