Wow, surprised Chase would give up 23.

It looks like Dungey (5), Osborne (16), Tickle (20), Reed (22) and Martin (26) have officially surrendered their numbers.

Wish they could just pick any number they want to. Not a fan of the numbering system.

Anyone else happy that Chiz is still holding the 11?

How/when did Jo get a career number?

Sure.  He earned it and he's still racing every week.

Better than Bogle and Brayton, who haven't raced in a year.

He earned it in 2021 (for the 2022 season).

Pretty wild how low Harlan and Noren are. Good for them! 22 and 23.

I had Jett as a dark horse candidate to grab the number 8. Would just go perfect with the whole donut thing. The jerseys would have been great.

I figured he would have taken a single-digit number. 8 would have been perfect. Maybe he is waiting on a certain one to free up.

One thing I don't know - does a former champ like Jett always have the option of picking a single-digit number, or can he only do it the year after a championship?

I believe it is only the year you win the championship. Which I am sure Jett will have plenty more of.

Unless it changed its anytime, James Stewart switched to 7 for his second year in the premier class in 06. And he didn’t get any titles his first year.

A true measure of consistency with those guys. Not particularly great in any round, but they kept showing up, stacking those points

It has definitely changed since then because they allowed him to run a 3 digit number as his career number before switching to 7. When it changed or how it has changed, I’m not sure. I’d imagine if anyone wants a single digit that’s eligible for one, they can choose an available one anytime they want to.
