Red Bull hooked us up with a cool opportunity to visit with their athletes in an unusual location today, and we'll have more from that, soon. In the meantime, we know you want to see them, and here are a couple peeks at the Nike boots that San Manuel / Yamaha / JSE's James Stewart was wearing today.

Check back later for much more from today's festivities on Vital MX.

Um, Knowing Nike they are prolly overpriced, made in china, and fall apart in hours...

I don't think James will be the only rider in the boots on Saturday night.

I don't get the hate for Nike on this site. Seems like we'd want a new big money sponsor in the sport.

Those boots look like... boots. Daring. But the three-buckle deal looks like a good idea to me...

Wasn't stewart wearing an alpinestars neck brace in the off season? I guess hes back to not wearing a neck brace again?

I dont think they look all that bad. They look slightly Scott boot-ish. I dont like the colors shown here but as with anything thats new people will speak first and think differently later I bet.

3 buckles? hmmm.

I'd like to see the white ones. I dont love them by any means, I just expected much worse.

Thanks for the peek at the boots. I was hoping I would like them, but they don't look like they offer much lower support. The foot portion looks like a tennis shoe.
The questions are: 1. Do the offer enough support? 2. Can you kick a rock or root at 30 mph out in the woods and not break your foot? 3. Will the bending parts, straps, and buckles hold up after days of abuse?

If James Stewart loses Anaheim, everyone is going to blame it on these boots.

Those shots aren't super revealing but hey its a heads up of what they'll look like. More close up shots will give us a better idea whats going on the them.

Maybe after a muddy practice they will look better to you guys.
The sport could use more big names like Nike.

Thank you.....sheesh you guys give Nike a break they're not THAT bad looking. Our sport NEEDS big names like Nike if it is going to grow or even stay afloat.....I applaud Nike for getting into the MX market but will I have to go to Foot Locker to buy them? Laughing
