x2....

Not to many works Honda RC250's running around. And if it has race history, the price point will be even higher. Those bikes were so far ahead of the time... priceless

One of my favorite bikes of all time!! What's it worth? I agree with Cygnus. It's definitely a buyer's market right now.

Baileys 82 RC250? Any RC Honda is worth big money. With the economy in the shitter, there are still people with money who'd give a left nut for an RC. A fairly crusty looking 78 model RC open classer auctioned last year for around forty grand. And it needed a resto. That 's not the only nice one he has, he's not actually selling it is he?

I say add one more figure to that estimate...easily 100k+ if it has a real ,documented race history.

Hansen and O'Mara's pristinely restored bikes across the pond were up with asking prices around 70 grand a piece. I don't know that either ever sold. Beautiful bikes though. If you'd give 100 plus for the RC Dan, I'll make you a bargain basement deal on a sweet Yamaha OW27. Smile

It appears to be over-restored. these bikes are worth far more if they are only restored to the condition they were in at their last race.....like Terry Good's bikes. His are amazing.

Is that the ex-Darrel Schultz/Kenny Keylon bike from '82? Schultz was supposed to ride the 250 that year, but injury forced him to the later starting 500 series. Honda then put Kenny on the bike.

Hmmm? I remember seeing Keylon win a moto at Lake Whitney on an RC250. Wonder if that's the bike?

This is O'mara's bike that was sent back to Europe after the 82 des nations for Ralf Diffenbach to campain in the 83 World Championships. This is why it has a GP tank on it and the front fender brace, it also has a front round number plate that they used in the GP's that was on the bike when purchased, it now sports a more US type front plate.

It also has the rear brake set up that bailey tested here in the states and was run in the GP series.

The hubs were stripped of the black color and the bars are not right and someone painted over the front fork coatings. but otherwise it's pretty cool.

I don't think it would go near for what some of you guys think it would.

My experience has been from seeing bikes at auction, that even bikes

with "great historical value" or "museum pieces" are not getting what people

value them as.....I'd guess less than 20 grand.

And, like the others said - it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

My guess, $ 10-15 grand.

At 20 it would be gone in an instant. Above that your buyers will get limited but there would still be no shortage of people with a serious boner for a works Honda.

I dont know who bike it was, but it wasnt an Americans bike. It has a GP tank and non of the US riders raced with the RIBI lever long enough for it to still be on there.

I would say to some one with cash to spend, 10-13 k 15 max.
