Big props to these three guys for stepping up to the plate to try and defend for America!

I’ll add, I do like this team. I just think Decoster as the manager has a strong influence on which teams are willing to participate. It’s been said in the past that that is why Kawasaki does not send their riders.

All we can ask is their best effort...and I believe all 3 will do that.  Let the chips fall where they may.

I don't have any heartache with Roger BUT... I'm also a firm believer in removing all appearances of impropriety...if Kawi really believes that Roger used his position to glean Kawi secrets at the MXdN...that needs to be addressed.

If they really only have heartache with the Marvin/Dungey deal...cry me a river.Wink

An all Decoster team, shocking. But atleast we’re going!

Yeah sounds like it was just Roger stonewalling all the riders from these other manufacturers the whole time.

You could be %100 correct.  I was not in the room where it happened.

I choose to believe that when this all turned into a convoluted shit show...Roger and a few others FOUND a way for us to field a team.

Has Rogers time passed...maybe...but until DC, the AMA, Mitch, or someone directly involved in this clusterfuck has the balls to stand up and say EXACTLY how and why DeCoster is to blame...I ain't listening to a buncha clowns spewing manure.

Hungriest team since Anderson, Cooper, and Zacho going early to practice sand? Glad they all want to go.

Looking at it all three of these men could get top three in their class. As far as all being on the same brand, if this turns into a fiasco, it would look very bad for Decoster and Austria.

Yes, and America was heavily behind that team.  I hope these guys get that same support.

Yeah, my comment was pure sarcasm. I think the KTM group stepping up and spending their money to send a team when others were not willing to do so being turned into “see how bad they are for doing this” is laughable.

So you think Roger's bosses were pretty happy last year when he was on the victory podium with two Yamahas and a Honda? You think they would be ok with that happening twice? Rogers job is to make Austrian bikes attractive to buyers, but there he was slathered all over biking's press last fall with two Yamahas and a Honda at the biggest race of the year. Good look for Austria?

Yes, flag was on Jett and Hunter's bikes for Red Bud.

A Japanese company with Australian riders displaying American pride!

I'll say it one more time, try reading slowly...maybe even read it twice..... MOST THE FOOLS MOUTHING OFF ABOUT AMERICAN PRIDE IN THIS THREAD ARE NOT AMERICAN.

It doesn't have a motherfucking thing to do with what stickers are on any bike.

Do you understand that now?  I'm not sure how much more clear I can be so if you don't, well...as they say..... you can't fix stupid.

Did I trigger your patriotic nerve?

Why would they need sand settings for Ernee?

They could have rolled these guys out weeks ago if they were just trying to get people on Austrian bikes there. It took this long because they were trying to get the best team that wanted to and could go. There were zero guys saying they wanted to go but no one was calling.

Et hasn’t rode outdoors all summer. Sexton, yes.
Deegan i honestly don’t get why he is passing ip this opportunity…If you’re 16 or 17 years and it’s allready all about money… i don’t know, back in the day Rattray and Bt love to spend their own money to ride mxdn. And they didn’t even had a chance to take the trophy home.
anyway, i have a feeling AP will be really good because i think he really feels honored to represent his country.

It was a question. So you do think Roger's bosses were happy he was on the podium at the biggest race of the year with two Yamahas and a Honda? You think they wanted him at the race with their new multi-million dollar signee Chase on a Honda, fired employee Webb on a Yamaha, and former rider Deegan on a Yamaha? Don't be naive, the sport is about promotion of product. Matthes, ML and the like are great guys to be sure, but they can't tell us the whole story or nobody in the sport will divulge anything to them again.

I don’t think Roger’s bosses were happy but I suspect they were indifferent. The manufactures actions don’t seem to reflect that they hold the race in the same regard as the fans do. They wanted Deegan but he was too tired and they tried everything to get Chase but it wasn’t in the cards. Also, it’s not Roger making decisions alone, Mike P from the AMA is there every step of the way.  With so much churn in the off-season and the timing of the race this year it was an unfortunate set of circumstances aligning, not some conspiracy.

No conspiracy intended friend, it is just a really bad look. As I stated before nobody outside of industry insiders ever knows the whole truth in our sport, thus this seems unseemly. Again, can you imagine Austrian boss's sentiment if Decoster managed a winning USA team two times in a row with no Austrian bikes on team? As Matthes's guest this week stated more than once, in the future, no factory team managers will be affiliated with team USA, and that Decoster can't do this forever. Take what you will what that implies or what he was hinting at.

I think they were likely happy for him that he won. Proves their manager guys skill as a manager. And this is a made up non-issue.

Otherwise,  they wouldn't have allowed him to take the job in the first place in case something like this happened, and they would have told him to quit going forward in case the same thing happened again. They seem to be fully behind his Nations team managing gig.
