Webb admitting to being nervous tells me all I need to know. He still has fire and desire. He might not be a champ again, but he still cares. You can work with that.
He'll get better, give him some races and time.
He should been in shape now…He has raced more than Ken this summer and still comes in over weight for the first round and Ken looks ripped as always.
You're not wrong but Kenny and Coop have pretty different body types.
I'll be interested to see how he gets on, it feels like the competition in SX is gonna be very, very stiff (I know every year seems to be the "deepest field ever"...) but I can't count him out for a few wins.
MX, I just don't see it but I'd be more than happy to be wrong about it.

Agreed. Any professional athlete making big money in a physical demanding sport should be showing up in tip top shape unless coming straight off an injury. With that said if he did okay finishing (2) 20's I think he'll be fine in Supercross.
Hint: it isn’t fitness
The way a lot of people were hyping up Webb going back to Star Yamaha, you'd think he was never going to lose a race ever again. The guy is good, but that KTM wasn't holding him back this year in supercross. He was just off the pace enough. He plays head games to help him win, rather than raw speed. And Tomac is not phased by head games. Webb threw everything at Tomac at a couple races and just couldn't find the extra gear to make it happen. Very dejected face after a couple of those, Webb had no answers and a terrible poker face about it. He thought the bike/team would be the missing link. Time will tell, but I honestly don't see it happening after that first showing on the bike.
I couldn't agree more
I never understood how that narrative got started. The gritty, mentally tough guys are spending their off seasons in the gym and on their road bikes
The guy went right off the KTM to the GOAT Farm. Not like there was an off season.
Whatever he's doing he's in shape enough to win sx. Not everyone needs to be lean as hell like Sexton. Langston always had a soft looking build to me and he was never lacking fitness
Absolutely. Until I see the his results go backwards in the races that really count, I don't put much stock in these results
Nobody questioned McGraths physique
We're, talking supercross right? Where the key to the race is the start. There are enough top guys (at least before the training injuries), that i doubt anybody but Jett and Chase will be able to come thru the pack. Eli will have to prove that he still has it. Hunter is a wild card, Kenny and Anderson are best of the rest. Webb, Barcia, AC, Malcom, Plessinger, Craig wil be fighting for 5 -10.
Until RC came around…
