I get so sick of the "tired of the grind" excuse. Every other professional athlete has been doing what they do since they were a kid playing almost year around, travelling to games, etc.

After Sept. He will have plenty of time to rest from the grind. Its hard to believe he is only 22. This is the end of the road for Davi. His M.O says he is lazy. Stanton has covered this and Chad Reed has also mentioned that Davi does not pride himself being in shape.

I was thinking the same thing, once he "hooked up" his results went in the shitter. I want to thank my fiancée on the podium! That shit must be good.

Quoting an unnamed source saying he's the "laziest human being alive" is...ouch. Steve, I think you're going to look at that one day and wish you'd left that out.

This thread is funny.

So first we say he is lazy and can't get results bc of it. Then we say his results are not there bc of his now wife. The kicker though is somehow this lazy, poon crazed 22 yr old gets on the podium to thank his fiancé!!!

Since when is a podium finish bad?

So who should Honda hire at the end of the year rainmen?

Btw, sorry to quote you crash but you were the last point I wanted to make.

I've been a huge fan of DM ever since he turned pro in 2004. I really hope that he figures out what his deal is and turns it into a positive.

Davi's defeat comes from his mind. If they believe the bike is too small, whether or not it really is, they have mentally accepted defeat.

If I were his family, I would put a psychologist in the Milllsaps Training Facility. That may sound shitty, but I don't mean it that way. I'm just saying if people are going to build up their coordination, and physical fitness, they might as well have someone there working on their confidence, and modifying their thoughts and behaviors. James Stewart EXPECTS to be out front. Of course he has a riding edge, but that riding edge has developed a mental edge as well. I think Davi could benefit from having a better mental edge.

Seriously,
this sport has got to be about as mentally tough as it is physically tough.

Because he wanted to. I really can't believe that people care if a rider thanks his wife or what ever she was at the time.

What I really want to know is when are the "so called" fans of the sport going to start showing up at the races with their faces painted up like some NFL loon, because thats what some here are starting to sound like.

BTW: What were some of you doing at the age of 22?

Why is this Personal issue such a secret ?

Who hasn't had girl troubles ? or is it drugs , or maybe sex like Tiger Woods ?

I personally think along with raising the age to 18 for Pro's they need to raise the entry age too, like maybe 10 yrs old.

About the bike issue...I have heard from many in the know that DM, IT even KW just could not come to terms with the '09 CRF450, no matter what the factory did. At one point I heard they were "afraid" to ride the bike, much like Stewart was of his KX250 he raced.

After watching the struggles myself within the team pits with the bike, I tend to believe the bike issues.

But I hope Davi finds that fire within himself this year and shows us the reason he is a factory rider. I am a big fan of his and hope he can pull it together this year.

Jesus dude take a laxative or something. Once his mind got totally focused on her, his results seemed to have suffered, my other guess is he's partying a bit to much, his fallout with his Mom MAY have been because she didn't approve of something he was doing, her program got him where he is today, why change? These are observations and guesses. It's a moto message board and we are discussing moto and my posts don't have to be approved by you. At 22 i was either in a bar or in jail, thanks for asking, not sure what that has to do with Davy but WTF? Now go on back to non moto and get back to work on saving the country.

Very good question Mr. Gio.

If both stay healthy and don't get hurt, in my opinion DM18 will rank higher than T-Hahn both in SX and MX

And that would pretty much be the answer from the rest of us also but it doesn't seem to make a difference when the moto clowns are acting like Davi and others are some type of lowlife failures.

BTW: A lot of people stay in non moto because of stupid threads like this posted by no nothing asshats.

Bars yes, but no jail for me, no thank you Wink At 22 I was in bars, racing bikes, windsurfing, downhilling mountain-bikes, flying airplanes, chasing girls and happily spending money I didn't deserve.

Some are bashing riders because it's easy to do it through a keyboard and because they're still living in the delusional world where they are convinced their opinions are facts. Same with football, politics, baseball, Nascar. It's so easy.

Shenzi, I didn't dog Davi, quit being such an asskisser. Look at the title of the thread, something is holding him back, I gave my 2 cents big deal. What would you suggest fans talk about? As far as facts read my post, I clearly stated it was a guess, I used terms like MAY or just an observation or guess. Man forget it. It's always the same a bunch of internet pussies calling names while criticizing others, obviously you were a spoiled brat, I came up in a different time the hard and stupid way. I didn't write the story so that everyone can start calling each other ass-hats. It's simply an attempt at a thought-provoking story on what I think is an interesting sub-plot to the James/Chad battle.

J-Mar, I do think that, no matter how old he is, he's a professional athlete that is subject to articles being written about him. No one is saying he's a shitty person or whatever, we're fans of moto debating a top riders performance and his off-track stuff could be the reason why he's been struggling. Nothing wrong with talking about that imo.

Both in SX and outdoors? Uhm...I can see DM scoring more points than TH in sx thanks to more podium finishes and perhaps a win or 2; outdoors, though...I think TH would do better. And if the sum of the points in SX and MX had any value, I think TH would win, unless DM shows up at A1 with a brand new approach/mentality.*

* your assumption that both can stay healthy applies, of course.

This is the type of stuff that I don't like about this sport or the motoboards. The kid is 22 years old and most others his age and older are still in the lites class.

It's no secrete that last years Honda's had some problems but everyone seems to think it's more entertaining to hammer on a 22 year old kid.

Millsaps = ???

Good comparison, though - at least going into the season.

Crash, my post wasn't directed towards you.

I won't stop the "asskissing" as long as I'm paid for. Jobs are pretty hard to come by nowadays in da USofA.

I was definitely a spoiled brat, no questions about that, but I had to work for what I got, it wasn't handed to me every Christmas morning, I had to work to make the cash and deserve the rewards, but I lived in a society where kids from all classes and origins were hanging out together. Our only "society" and "class rating" was the school we came from and it lasted until today.

I have always be a fan of your call it as you see reporting but personal issues are personal. I am really not a fan of digging into the personal issues of a 22 year old kid that just happens to be a professional athlete. Adding fuel to the fire on places like this is not a good thing in my personal opinion.

I think you should put the shoe on the other foot and think about how you would like your personal issues debated on a public form.

Just my two cents.
