2024 Kawasaki KX450 and KX450X

The word is that it will not be a true SR as the past two years.  It will be a 50th anniversary edition with retro graphics.   Possibility some additional tweaks but not to the degree of the SR.

 Looking forward for the new bike to be released 🤩 love the 23 bike so it will be interesting to see if the 24 is even better.

I think that’s true. 2024 250 tests are already out so 450’s can’t be that far behind.

High hopes for the 250 in 2025, can't wait.

Well that too. Ironically Keefer tweeted about the kx today. If I remember correctly media will not get to ride it much earlier than release date for public. 

The 250 is same generation as 23 so that’s why it’s released earlier. 

Cool Tickle is on it doing testing for the team.   I’m sure they are excited to get it.  Febvre and the GP team have definitely given the US team a head start in developing the race bike and aftermarket parts.

Shock/linkage looks really low vs. current doesn’t it?

Air intake over, a la Honda, and the shock/linkage have to go somewhere - Good eye. Curious if those are Xtrigs from current model or if they already have something for RF3 and BT20…

Always interested to know which parts carry over from generation to generation. That PC exhaust looks clean but I’m surprised to see the rear axle so far forward. Testing stock location by chance? The Factory Kawi/PC trick has been to slam it back for a few years now, and it looked be the same on RF3’s 2024 across the pond as well.

Tickle was certainly putting in the time on Tuesday at Pala. At one point I saw him pushing the bike back to the van, I think he ran out of gas. Bike looked and sounded great!

It would mean a lot to the fine folks here at Vital if we could y’know expedite the 450 test is all I’m saying. 

I just want real pics of one all around, they havent even put much on the Kawi site yet of them.

Availability in Oct so would hope/think details and first ride reports in a couple of weeks.

ML, when is the press day for first ride impressions?

October man. No sites or magazines will be able to ride it  till October. It’s been mentioned several times,  Not to be that guy. 

Yep.  Just thinking/hoping ML might know something more specific now than the Sept/Oct that was mentioned a couple months ago.

Most recent Keefer podcast, they talked about the 24 KX a bit, sounds like October will be the date.  Keefer did say though, from people he's talked to, it sounds like a pretty awesome bike!
