Edit: I just thought about how he debuted at the end of the summer '19. He's rising to the top of the sport at a pretty meteoric pace. Pretty special
But if you can't see the sport evolves and gets a bit faster with every new crop of kids coming up, well, I guess you think we're at a stand still. Kind of like the people that think today's basketball stars couldn't beat the old greats. The kids emulate the best of each rider and become better all around. There will be riders faster than JS7, will it be Jett?
Maybe and maybe not. I don't think we'll see because Jett is a more mentally mature rider. James had the attitude he had to crush his competition. So we saw phenomenal rides and phenomenal crashes. Jett rides just fast enough to win. That will net Jett more championships.

If he can do that with good results then the confidence will be high, then it could get ugly for the rest.
Oh, by the way, he was fast as hell.
He knows this sport.
He’s seen plenty of fast guys.
But, I think he’s mistaken if he hasn’t seen “unusually amazing speed and smarts” out if this Aussie kid. His restraint in Race 3 on Sunday was, well, almost surprising. His “form” and throttle control -both- looked like someone who’d been on that bike all season. He ran The Fast Pace every time he got on the track.
To be fair, many are gonna say,”Sure, but, put him on that bike all season and see what you get!”
Personally, I think we’re going to be adding a name to the list of front-runners in the 450 class next year. Hell, I’m so silly with positive stoke that I’m thinking Eli may show up “outdoors” and see how things feel and maybe stay out there for another season.
Like I said,”Silly”, right?
The season will measure these guys. There are so many variables. We don’t know what will happen, and that makes it compelling.
Been a while between drinks hasn't it! With Jetts rise the lads are getting keen for another trip in the next couple of years so hopefully beers are on the horizon.

Some of these thread revivals are good reading, some way off predictions
Not to mention , some incredibly accurate predictions !
If I were to read something I posted before Jett started on the 450, it would have read something like, he may win some races, and if he stays healthy a championship is possible but not likely. Dude pulled off something Ricky and James never did. And something you ever only get one shot at doing which is going undefeated your rookie year.
Great thread revival. And more sperm in Bobby's beard.
We interrupt this thread for a Jettson marketing segment.

Donut boy is here to slay.
If you were watching the Nationals this kid pulled so many holeshots it was crazy, he is obviously a great starter and the supercross type races the holeshot is everything! I believe he's going to dominate.
crazy part is... on the 250.. Jett was a terrible starter. Much like Hunter this outdoor season.
All of a sudden he steps on a 450 and his starts are immaculate.
wonder if Hunter will have the same transition. And if its the CRF250's power that they struggled with off the start? Because Jett and Hunters start technique is identical. and both struggled with starts on that 250.
If Jett is healthy when the indoors starts, he will own the series.
I can't think of many riders who weren't great starters on a 250 that turned into great starters on a 450. The chances Hunter magically turns it around too?
I'm looking forward to seeing this happen, not sure it will but reality is it could.
all im saying is I wont be surprised to see Hunter all of a sudden upfront off the starts
I can tell you the HRC 250 is visually slower then the PC and Star bikes, that's for sure. I was at Unadilla and Budds and its noticeable. And Hunter doesn't look like he's one of those guys who weighs 150lbs. He's prob around 170lbs. So you're probably right
Post a reply to: I think Jett is a fantastic rider but I don't think
