also, I found the stock engine hangers modified did help no doubt on the hands, no question about it. I machined out my stock ones, not the FCP. Although I plan on buying the FCP as it also comes with the front mounts too. I honestly believe in works. I tested back to back on my modified stock ones and it was quite a difference. The comfort was noticeable, took away the jarring feel in rough stuff.

Did the same in a 22 450 Honda and it definitely Made a difference

I bought a used 17 swingarm and it has scratches and some minor cosmetic blemishes if anyone is interested. Needs sliders and bearings too. I have my bikes perfect so I ended up buying a brand new one for a big price. IMG 1989

Is 2017 only year they made that swingarm? Looking parts list 2018-22 is different but are older not same as 17?

It’s a few years. Just look up the part number

I would keep an eye on part numbers. I remember around 14-15, I believe it was the 250f having crank issues that yam wouldn’t address, but the part number changed for the next year

Anyone who knows a site with OEM parts for the 24 models? Then we can check…

The swingarm breakdown for the Yamaha 450s is as follows:

2010-2013

2014-2017

2018-2022

2023+

Length wise I'm not sure exactly how the 23 compares to the 18-22 swingarm, but I know that the dropouts for the rear axle are the same so I would guess that they are likely similar, and the dropouts are also the same on the 10-13 version.  The 14-17 swingarm has a larger dropout area for more axle adjustment.  The only reason I know this off the top of my head is I have designed swingarm extensions for hillclimb to fit all of the different swingarms, so the dropout area is critical for those designs.

Does 2014-17 250f have similar swingarm? Those bikes are on sale but harly any 450f out there now.

I believe 15-18 250f would be equivalent to 14-17 450f, you would have to check part number to confirm but I believe that is correct since the 250s tend to trail the 450s by one model year.

Has anyone put in an aftermarket battery in their 23? If so which one did you go with? My old shorai from my 21 wont fit due to the seat base

correct, unless you use a gearing set that needs more room its pointless. My guess id Tomac wanted 13/50 and since it wouldn't work with the stock swing arm they used a longer one. Actually it would work with the stock swing arm but it would be way forward. Honestly I dont thin it has anything to do with anything other than allowing them to run the desired gearing. IMO

I just canceled the new one since it says next month now. Going to clean this used one up since I’ve had no luck selling it. I rode with the Fcp engine mounts Saturday and it fixed the harshness in my hands.

I’m going to run 13/50 as well. Sometimes I have to clutch it using 3rd in turns. Just my style of riding, I could use a touch more bottom. Even if you use the old swingarm and don’t like it back, you can just shorten the chain and move it forward again. Just gives you more options.

Has anyone messed with the spacers on the lower clamp pinch bolts? I've read all the comments and discussion on if there's anything actually being affected but no one has said they felt a difference or not other than keefer. I did see on Dean Ferris's instagram there's a ton of pictures that looks like stock clamps with a spacer behind the lower bolts. There's definitely extra material of some sort and I'm assuming it's this same concept in some form.

Will 2022 Sprockets fit the the 2023 YZ450f? Seems crazy that Motosport dot com has no sprockets for this bike? Where's the best place to get a chain sprocket combo for a good price? Thanks.

The rear hub was unchanged from the last gen bike as far as I can tell. I am currently running the Ironman sprocket I pulled off my '21 on my '23

Im having the same issue a few people referenced with the blue light staying on while the bike is off. I tried a new kill switch/button cluster, but it still does it. Has anyone encountered this or does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

I pulled and cleaned any connectors that I could easily locate, but that didn't seem to help when I did. For me the problem just resolved on it's own though I believe. A few days after I first noticed the issue the light was off and I haven't seen it happen again. I hope it stays that way 🙏

I have ECU connector on bikes side just 2 connectors coming loose. Other is map selector and other one was gear position sensor. Tried to fix connector couple times without luck but I dont wanna buy whole main wiring harness that cost 450€

Finally rode with the longer swingarm, definitely an improvement. I wouldn’t even say it hurt the turning. 50 tooth on the rear also helped 3rd gear. Best I’ve felt on this bike so far, just need to ride now.
