Regardless of what team, what sponsors, how many bikes they already have etc. there's still an increased cost that SOMEONE has to pay for with adding another rider... They've secured the funding and hired the additional staff to do that at Husky and KTM, but they have not done that at gasgas for one reason or another. It all comes down to money.

I understand it cost a lot of money, but if DF14 doesn’t want to even try and do a few races as a privateer next year and see if a spot opens then his desire is lacking and that’s perfectly okay. Also, he for sure had opportunities on lower end teams where he would maybe only make “purse” money but he doesn’t want to do that.

The guy has won multiple 250 championships indoors and out and a 450 outdoor title. Hes a bad dude on a bike. He shouldnt settle for anything less than a factory ride. He has proven his worth, work ethic and determination multiple times.

I suspect/realize its actually the timing of his brand change that is screwing him. Basically every other 450 factory rider has won at least 1 championship.

He's won a bunch of money, raced around the globe, made some decent/awesome money, seems to have a good home life and is overall healthy.

He knows what his skills are worth. I wouldnt blame him if he decides to retire over taking a subpar ride.

I sure hope he doesn’t have that attitude. The I deserve this attitude. Bambam certainly didn’t. Dean Wilson.

You cannot be serious? You really just compared DF to Dean Wilson?...Did you forget when DF won back-to-back sx titles, a 250 outdoor title, 450 outdoor title and how he is CURRENTLY 2nd in points? Like right now...he is the second-best guy in the series lmao.

The dude is going to finish 2nd in the 450 class and you guys are saying he should go buy a bike from a dealer and spend his own money to go race. Get real lmao.

Seems like that's about his only option at this point if he wants to keep being a professional dirt bike racer in America.

I asked someone on the team. Not hurt, just benched/sat out for the weekend. Will race SMX.

Any word on what happened with Reynolds? He was riding Cahuilla the day of Ironman.

Was legitimately sick and basically benched now. Won’t be at PC next year, haven’t heard of any deals for 2024.

Sad the kid wasn't even able to come back and race when it was his only opportunity to show what he has since recovering from injury.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't heard of a team willing to take a shot on him. Usually taking a chance on a rider coming off a factory team, for a mid-level team or so, is really risky. In this case, it's sort of a win-win without a lot of downside. There's potential there but it's gone so sideways for him the past couple of years that a lower-level team could pick him up for little-to-no-pay, bonus focused, and give it a go for one year. If Jett figures it out and does pretty well, that team looks like geniuses. If it doesn't go well, they just say "hey, it's just the trajectory the kid is on".

I think they’re full, but I bet Club would be a great spot for him.

I've mentioned it to their management but I don't think they're interested. On one hand they said their full but I also know they made an offer in the last week or so to someone who's not currently on their team.

Any news on Savatgy and Rick Ware Racing yet? Is their 2024 sx effort happening? I feel like he deserves to be on a factory team, but if Ferrandis can't even find a team these days..

Triumph will have Michael Mosiman, and word is Joey Savatgy will ride 250MX for them in 2024, and then 450SX and MX when they have that bike ready later on."

Oh, didn't see, thanks. Man that would be some weird years for Savatgy. Barely racing SX and skipping MX, still unkown how the rest of WSX will unfold into 250MX.. That guy deserves better

Agreed. I was hoping for something like a Bar X, HEP, Club type team to come in and pick him up.

Maybe it's time to call Chaparral and FXR and get the band back together?

He could go win those races and wouldn’t result in a deal. Nobody cares what he would do at the amateur level, he’s been there.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing are owned by the parent company Pierer Mobility.

The Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull GasGas team is owned by Troy Lee himself, it's a private racing operation with full factory backing.

There's a bit of a difference in budget there.

Also, a racing position with the TLD GasGas team would require Dylan to cut ties with Thor, Monster Energy, Bell helmets, and 100%...in which he's under contract through 2024 with all of them (as far as I've been made aware).
